Stepped inside Studio 54 to pick up my tickets and noticed two things.
The first: the set load in....a bunch of beds crowded the lobby, with production assistants around them trying to figure out which had dust-ruffels.
The second: at the box office window, there was a sign that read:
"This production of The Threepenny Opera contains ADULT SUBJECT MATTER, which MAY OR MAY NOT contain FULL FRONTAL NUDITY."
Does anyone know who may or may not be getting naked?

May or may not?
... do they not KNOW? hah.
I guess they could still be making changes, but I love that wording. So... sneaky.
Scott Elliot is paying me to play a drunk whore.
I basically walk on completely naked...stand stage center...and scream: "Where's my damn Mizrahi gown?"
Then I stumble off mumbling gibberish.
they wanna keep it a mystery for the audience

That's what struck me as funny, Emcee.
Was there any nudity in the original production and subsequent revivals?

I've got the first preview next Friday and friend Phil was in the Sting revival.
will report back.
I'm seeing this in a month, I'll let you know!

Thanks for the offer, Chloe, but I'm seeing the 2nd preview, so I'll be able to tell everyone, right after Wexy.
However, since it's still obviously iffy, they may add it half way into previews?

Yankee.
I told you it's me.
May or may not. You have to love these warnings.
Maybe they are doing a DRACULA thing and not doing nudity at blue-hair-kid-friendly matinees.
Dracula never actually had no nudity shows. They discussed it but I don't believe that it happened. I know that I attended a matinee and there was plenty of unnecessary nudity.

I stopped in last week to ask the box office if it was kid friendly, and the guy told me there was going to be male frontal nudity. He suggested bringing my daughter to The Pajama Game instead.
I'm looking forward to this show, but I SO don't want to see Alan Cumming's penis.

Me neither Chica, especially since I sit in the third row.
I don't think I've ever been happier about my cheap mezzanine seats.

Cumming might not be doing the nude scene; he's not the only guy in the cast.

With turning Lucy Brown into a male role, Macheath into a bisexual, and now the nudity, I suspect this production has more to do with the director's psychosexual fantasies than a musical by Brecht and Weill.

Oh bless my lucky stars. I so hope to see Alan Cumming nude. You know, for artistic purposes...

True, but...come on! You know it's gonna be him.

If I'm lucky. *drops to knees and prays* I find him so attractive.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Edie Falco bowing out. She probably wasn't interested in seeing AC's penis live and up close.
