I did a search and didn't find a thread. Has anyone seen this? I'm very curious and want to pick up tickets. Any advice as to which seating section? Their Facebook page says I should sit in "Tape".
Thoughts?

I went to this over the weekend and quite enjoyed it. I don't think there's really a bad place to sit. The space is TINY (hard for me to imagine Natahsa Pierre here, there's hardly room for the whole cast much less and audience!).
I was in the Knife section, but again, I can't really see a bad place to be. You sitting on these tiny velvet boxes which aren't comfortable but the show only runs 90 minutes and they make you stand for part of it anyway.
There is some audience interaction, and I had a fun little bit where Lauren Worsham took my hand.
Overall, it’s a cute show about growing up and missing friends, that very cleverly uses the space. The lighting design is really fantastic, and Lauren and Lili Cooper are excellent. I'd say it’s a nice bit of theater that is just a bit off the grid.

I saw it a few weeks ago and loved it. I sat in the Candy section and it was completely fine. Didn't miss a thing, and had a great time. It's a very unique and fun show, to say the least. Tremendous cast, as well.

Sure. I saw it before the official opening night, but I doubt much would have changed. They have two audience members go backstage beforehand (My friend was one of them, so I know they aren't plants or anything like that) and walk them out after the opening number to introduce them, and then later on they have each of them answer a question. The rest of the interaction is just having audience members do two small physical things (Putting on a blindfold momentarily and then moving some seats around to re-arrange the space) and the actors singing directly to individuals in their area. Because it's such a small space, even just the brief moments of direct eye contact and lines being sung to you make it a very intimate event.

I saw this last night and can't stop thinking about it. I loved, The Wildness. Unfortunately, its ending it run very soon, but if its at all possible to grab a spot, go. Its wonderful.

Went to the late show tonight and ... Hm. I'm not sure. I loved the design and directing and the lighting stole the show to me. It felt like it was trying to be a bunch of different shows, but I didn't hate that. There were a few great songs with "Beautiful Monster" the stand out. I wish Cooper had a really killer solo as I love her voice.
The show itself is weird. Character development and plot are done through the book and not the music, which is odd for a musical. I kind of wish it had just been a song cycle, as I felt the story was a little pandering and obvious. I like the idea, I just don't think this is the way to tell that story. I hate narration and hate when a character tells me they are going to do something and then does it. This is theater. This is not a book. Just do it, and I'll see it, and we will be good.

I don't think of the show as being a musical, which is perhaps where our differing opinions stem from. I thought of it more as a theatrical experience with music. It's more like a fantasy story and a rock concert had a baby.

True. But the music wasn't really rock? And the fantasy story was just The Village told with music? I just think all the "overstating" and the fake tears and fake awkward stares felt a little forced and pandering. It all felt very obvious. The song didn't actually SAY anything. But I really loved the design and stuff.

Interesting, as I was deeply moved. (If there are cast members reading this, Wow!)
I found the structure very fitting and quite exciting as it was both familiar and edgy. I agree that for a small show it was designed - all aspects - brilliantly. Particular nod to the sound design as it was quite loud, yet I made out most of the lyrics and it was easy to follow along. The lighting, set, projections and costumes were also all captivating and exciting to watch.
The cast all engaging and fun and extremely talented.
But, its the message... I thought The Wildness, and its 'rock concert' 'self-help group' 'ritual' was perfect to comfort all of us that we're not alone in our confusion and doubt.

All good! Glad you got something out of it. I just didn't particularly like the structure and narration.
And the blonde male wasn't so great at the singing and dancing. His vocals weren't interesting and his dancing was stiff and awkward. Would have rather heard one of the back up singers have a solo.

Saw this with a few friends this week. It's pretty unremarkable. Not offensively bad, not terribly interesting. The dramatic tension of the whole evening hinges on the believability of an absent actor being a real person, which is totally fabricated and - thus - totally manipulative. The design is... fine? It's all just super cluttered and "offbeat." The same goes for the direction. And the score is totally bland. There are a couple occasions where the actors implore the audience to stand because "it's a rock concert, people" and then we're left awkwardly standing to a song that, frankly, doesn't rock that hard. And then we would be asked to sit right after.
I'm not sure what I was supposed to get from it. I left just feeling like I'd wasted my time. At least if it was so good or bad I could dissect my feelings, but I just felt no need to discuss it.

I hated all the gimmicks of standing up, and how we couldn't sit before the show because...because why? There was no need?
It just felt like it was trying to be 8 other shows.
