I can't recall the last one but several have made the covers of national magazines in my lifetime, Rent, A Chorus Line and Dreamgirls are 3 that come to mind.

isn't it technically Lin on the cover? or is it because he's in costume that it's HAMILTON on the cover?

Phantom and Les Mis both made covers in the 80's
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
