Hey! I was just curious, for all of you that have seen the show a bunch of times, have you gone to the SD every time, or at least several times, and if so have any of the cast members ever recognized you? My sister and I only went twice and Erin Whyland already recognized us!
thanks geredith. i might even be able to go tommorrow and bummed about it since its david a's turn as billy. i hope to see it next week. geredith was there student rush this week?.
I didn't ask about strush, a friend had gotten ahold of two orch tickets, but I would imagine so. There were definitely still some unsold PVs in the mezz that I could see.
Anyone have any clues as to who I would be seeing at Saturday's matinee?
And I noticed Hadyn has been out for an extended length of time...and since the old thread is not working, I can't seem to research why. Is she injured or ill?
NJgirl, the rotation that seemed to be in place up until last week would probably have you seeing Trent on Saturday afternoon, but things got unpredictable at the end of the week, so who knows?
I was going to try to get there on Saturday, too, but I mangled my glasses beyond repair and wouldn't be able to see a thing even if I went. :[ So maybe next week.
But that reminds me: is there student rush some weeks and not others? And what exactly is the student rush? ~$40 for a seat in the rear mezzanine, or am I confused?
Student rush is basically whatever 81.50 range seats they have left over two hours before curtain on Tues/Wed/Thurs shows. Generally most seats are in the rear mezz, sections 2, 3, and 4, though I've ended up in the partial view front mezz sections before too. It just depends on how the show is selling, and whether or not they have tickets left over on those days.
The rotation's been really wacky lately with Tommy covering Tall Boy some nights and Frank being out and all, so it really is anyone's guess.
Sorry if this is an obvious question, but what is SD?
I'm not sure when the contracts of the Billy's are up, but I do know that the next kids who will play Billy have already been chosen. I know that one of the boys lives in Bay City, Michigan, but that's about it (I heard it from the teacher who's going to teach him tap).
If Alex is, and Frank is still with the show when he joins... they're going to look a lot alike on stage.

Saw the 3/31 performance (our first time) and loved every minute of it. I wasn't prepared to be so thrilled and delighted with this show. I've seen 9 to 5 in Los Angeles, and Billy Elliot is much much better.
