The song you always skip#0

A friend and I were recently having a discussion about how there is always one song that we skip whenever we listen to a cast recording. I was just wondering if any of you find you do this too?

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

On the Light in the Piazza recording, I skip American Dancing and The Joy You Feel, even though the latter is growing on me.

With RENT, I can usually just listen straight through.

With A CHORUS LINE, I usually skip Music and the Mirror after she stops singing.

I usually skip overtures. They are just boring. But yes definitely "A Sentimental Man" in WICKED and I usually skip "Wonderful".

Sometimes I guess I skip the Voicemails and stuff in RENT, just because I have heard them sometimes.

Also, I think Clara's Interlude is weird in LITP. So, that is usually skipped.

I'm with Caroline-Q-or-Tboo on this one. "American Dancing" is one of my favorites in LitP! Well, to each his/her own re: The song you always skip .
Edit: Might as well add the songs I skip.

I love THE LAST FIVE YEARS, it's my favorite show. BUT, whenever there is a song I skip, it's "Climbing Uphill." A lot of people seem to love it but I can't stand it.

AVENUE Q- I always skip "I'm Not Wearing Underwear Today." It's just so...random.

DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS- I never litsen to the "Finale."

PARADE- The one that I skip the most is "My Child Will Forgive Me." I think it's a good song, it just...gets on my nerves. Also skip "Letter to the Governor."

SWEENEY TODD- I really can't listen to "No Place Like London." Don't know why, but I just...can't.

WICKED- "Something Bad" and "Dear Old Shiz." Just. Ugh.

On Rent I skip the whole damn show. Too bad the show sucks.

On another note, every once in a while I find a song to skip.

I never skip a single note of Light in the Piazza, but I almost always skip "I Landed On Him" from Floyd Collins.

I sort of agree about Music and the Mirror, after she stops singing, but I still love it! A Chorus Line is one of the only musicals that I can listen through the whole CD without skipping any songs.

"Something Bad" and "Wonderful" from Wicked. Sometimes, I skip "Dancing Through Life," too. Nothing against Norbert; I just don't like the song much on CD. In person, I think it's fun.

"Wunderbar" from Kiss Me, Kate. I hate that song.

"American Dancing" from The Light in the Piazza. Other than that interlude, I listen to every second of that cast recording.

-"That Face" (The Producers)
-Overtures and orchestrals on the majority of soundtracks. I'm weird like that.
-"A Little Priest" (Sweeney Todd--this song is usually too long for a casual listen xD)
