That guy is an absolute imbecile. I loathe his videos. There may be some truth to what he says, but he doesn't know what he's really talking about basically 95% of the time. He just thinks he's really edgy, but I don't see him creating any great musicals.

That guy wears his pathology on his sleeve. He has obviously been quick to realize his personality and demeanor is such that he will never succeed in the business he seems to have set out to enter, so he rants against those who have succeeded (and I say that without editorial comment on the musucal theatre writing he spills bile on). But it should also be noted that the content of the video and the description of it in the OP are not the same.

I think this guy's allusions to Dear Evan Hansen are truthfully quite spot-on (and why I personally think the DEH score is pretty contrived), but man, he gets the point across annoyingly.

Oh God, that guy is the worst. Not only is he smug, he's mostly wrong. First, he's dissing "most" of the scores since....2012? Oooooohhh...burn. Despite that five years is hardly significant in any way, he doesn't seem to be familiar with what scores of the last five years actually sound like. He clearly doesn't care for a couple of contemporary composers, but he'd rather insult them all in a vain effort to prove to the world how much smarter and better he is. Sure, he can play piano. But what difference will it make when no one will want to work with you and your smug and poisonous attitude? Ugh.

For the record, next to normal is much older than the 5 year period he claims to be talking about. Also, it seems his only issue is with Dear Evan Hansen, based on his allusions.
