Oh GOD! Toni Braxton as Belle! Yeah. I have to agree with you there. At least her voice somewhat fits the poppish score of Aida but they were way off base in casting her as Belle. If Aida's songs had to be lowered for her, they must have really cranked down Belle's! I heard a short recording of Toni as Belle and just about died laughing. It was sooooo all wrong!

I was scared during the time of the Into the Woods revival, when rumours were going on about Kathie Lee Gifford taking over after Vanessa Williams as the Witch......It was a very scary time....

she was the standby for teri hatcher in the national tour. i saw her and about died she was so horrible.
