You and I both, Paradox. You and I, both.

Me three.

However, Matt, the question remains: Just what astrological sign ARE you? re: Those who trash brooklyn have not even seen it.

"There's a butt naked princess, lounging in a bed, calling your name. What exactly didn't you realize? Before our wedding night, pack up some of that dried monkey meat and have the royal cartographer draw you a map of the female body, captain. Maybe then you'll be more inclined to come explore!"

Stop trying to be cool, Hugo.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

Well, children, I happen to be a Libra.

I saw it for free on Friday because the opportunity presented itself and I refused to pay, and it was the worst thing I've seen. Yeah, there is definitely vocal talent up there, but it's just not a good show. I wouldn't see it again for free.

I saw it just prior to its official opening.
I hated it.
I trash it every chance I get, because .... friends don't let friends go see BROOKLYN.

re: Those who trash brooklyn have not even seen it.

This post really is ridiculous, as it has been proven that almost everyone who on this board has trashed Brooklyn has seen it.

To argue the other point, I for one, have not seen it and honestly don't intend to given most of what I've heard about it--there's just still some other shows I'd rather see, and I think I'd see some favorites again instead of this. But still, sometimes I'll tell friends I wouldn't see it because I heard it's awful, never myself saying it, and I for one, have never trashed it on this board, with the understanding that I have never seen it. I think that goes for most people here.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
