I didn't hear about this until I read about it on the Hollywood reporter.
So, he asks passerby to give one-line reviews of a fake Broadway show about the Miracle on the Hudson starring Matthew Broderick... and then he puts on (a piece of) the show.
It's a very funny commentary on adaptations. Did you see it? I think a lot of you would have something to say.
Well I think it just happened last night or the night before.
Not really sure how telling it is about ACTUAL adaptations, to be honest. My opinion on the piece itself? Too long - both parts.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I liked it just as I liked the one they did about the Producers a couple of years ago. The Producers one was clever and timely. This one was just for fun, I don’t think it was a commentary on the quality of shows....or was it? ??
The only review of a show that matters is your own.
