Hello all,
Saw Donna a bit ago and she was exquisite; with her announced end date, I want to make sure I see her again. Thinking about doing SRO or partial view for this weekend.. a few questions...
1. Has anyone done SRO RECENTLY for Donna? Should we still arrive around 3AM like for Bette?
2. Has anyone gotten partial view for any of her shows? I already stood for Bette and would prefer not to stand again, but I believe that those are sold prior to the day of the performance so they may be sold out the morning of the show, right? How many of those are typically offered? Thanks all.
Have you tried TodayTix or tkts? I don't think there is SRO for Donna'a performances.

TodayTix has $39 tickets for both Saturday and Sunday. If cost is an issue, I think this is you're best bet.
TKTS for Donna performances of Hello Dolly! is an excellent choice especially if you go like 30 minutes before curtain time. 50% discount wherever you want to sit, premium seats often knocked down to non-premium prices. I've sat in the Shubert in different places. Mezzanine is probably the best place to sit if you want to see the patterns of choreography.

thanks, all -- the group I am going with is pretty set on doing standing room. Interesting -- I will ask around to make sure they don't do SRO. Thanks!

I guess my new question is now what time should we line up for these rush seats...

I don't think Dolly has rush tickets, only SRO. And SRO only kicks in when the show is 100% sold out, which doesn't happen when Donna is on as Dolly. So, there is no rush/SRO for Donna.

In the past, the box office sold $47 partial view seats the day of each Donna performance. I'm not sure if they're still doing that, but that might be what the OP means by "rush."

3 weeks ago on a Tuesday I walked up to the box office window 30 minutes before curtain, asked for a rush ticket, and got Mezz Row A, last seat on the side for $47. It's the worst partial view I've ever had and thought I missed a lot but then I saw the show again from center mezz and realized I hadn't actually missed much at all.
That $47 seat was a steal. I highly recommend it, ESPECIALLY if you've already seen the show.
^^ The only thing you'll really miss if you get Mezz rush tickets is one of the two Harmonia Gardens tables, depending on where you sit. I know when I sat in the left mezz (second row, some of the last seats to the left) the only thing I missed was most of the Cornelius' table.

If the seating is partial view, or blocked view, does it say this on the ticket itself or when it's being sold to you?

No because I had friends pay full price for those seats and they told me about the partial view issues.
Oh, wow. That's pretty horrible. How can they get away with that?

Yes. The guy at the box office who sold me the ticket told me I'd miss the corner of the stage. Either way, you have to expect the last seat on the side of ANY theater will be partial view.

I've been a member of TDF long enough to know it's luck of the draw where your seat locs will be and I know this week with Donna, TDF stated "all seating will be in the Balcony", but, I just want to get some sense of folks who have used TDF this week only with Donna. I'm going Sunday matinee with 4 others and while I'm prepared for Balcony seating, I just want to get a sense of what's happening this week.
I think they skipped yesterday, Tuesday night and tonight, Wednesday. So I'm curious about this afternoon and the rest of the week. If anyone could post what they got thru TDF, that would be great to know!
Thx, guys!

Rushed yesterday a little over an hour before the show started and got side ORCH row G for $47. Definitely wasn't a bad seat at all. Did miss a tiny bit, but overall it was great and would definitely do it again.
