I just tried to buy a single orchestra seat for Kinky Boots. There were only 2 seats left in the aisle and the system wouldn't let me leave another single. I've bought many, many single tickets over the years and I can't ever remember this happening.
Nearly all the last several shows I've gone to use Telecharge so I know it's not a problem there, does anyone know if this is a new policy? Shocked to find how few good tickets are left at Kinky now that Brendon Urie is playing Charlie, there aren't any other seats I want to sit in. Seems the producers have taken all remaining seats (especially on weekends) and made them premium.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Yeah...Ticketmaster is a b**** like that. Same thing happened to me with If/Then.

I have no idea when they started that bullsh*t but it makes me furious. I try to buy singles all the time and they never let me anymore. It's terrible and I am so glad Telecharge does not do this.

Buy your ticket with a rep over the phone during normal business hours. The rep will overide the system.

That's exactly what I was planning on trying. Glad to hear its worked for you in the past. I'm also furious that all of the remaining seats are up to $349! For Kinky Boots! I'm happy for the producers that the stunt casting helped them out (that's why I'm going back) but to put all remaining weekend orchestra seats up that high is outrageous, no? But who am I trying to kid, it's all about profit and if they can get it why not? I wonder if those seats will flip as it gets closer to the date - or if they will all sell.

Also, not sure if this applies to Kinky Boots. But since Ticketmaster has changed their map and format, make sure under number of tickets which is always on 2, you change it to a 1.

Hi all, just tried to use the GHD lottery code to buy 2 tickets in a group of 3 available seats, of course the website won't let me because it leaves a single. Tried calling TM but they can't do it over the phone because they said the lottery code is an online only deal. I can't go to the box office right now but I can tonight... anyone know how to override this or if the box office will? Thank you!
FYI, I think they changed this over when they started doing resale on the site. People re-selling tickets don't want to be left with a single unsold, since singles are much harder to sell. Since re-sale is in the same system as first-sale tickets, they both have to follow the same rules. If you call Ticketmaster they should override with a regular seat, but I'm not sure if they will for a re-sale seat.

Pretty risk free. If they sell them, great. If they don't a few days out, reduce them to regular price. And if that doesn't work, dump them at the TKTS booth.

There isn't another pair of tickets available?! I mean, by the time you get there in person, you'll be in different seats, too...
Another poster described his trick on a similar thread. Use another browser or private (incognito) window in the same browser to open another Ticketmaster session. Navigate as a guest to select but not purchase the orphaned seat. Minimize, not close, the window to keep the seat reserved. Return to your regular browser session, sign in to Ticketmaster as yourself, and request the two remaining seats. Once your purchase is complete, simply maximize and close the private session.

Open a second browser window in incognito mode and select the single ticket that is holding you up and proceed with that purchase all the way up to the payment screen (obviously don't enter payment info or purchase this ticket). Once you have that ticket "reserved", the other ticket you actually want to buy should be available for you to purchase in your original browser window (you may have to refresh your search). Hope this helps!
ETA obviously Rumplestiltskin and I were typing at the same time and they were faster, haha.
