They are usually spot on with their predictions. They also think the Best Actor in a Musical race is between Jordan and Kazee. I have a feeling Burstein will turn out to be the Benanti of this year.

I just read them, too. They justify the predictions well, though I'm still pulling for a Bennett win in the Leading Actress category.
This may be a little dim, but how do they go about giving the percentages of winning for the awards?
Cheers,
C.
At this point since all of the critics are saying its a two way race between Jordan for carrying two shows and Kazee for being able being the reserved lead...i have a feeling that which ever one wins best actor looses best musical (a justification vote for example John Laroquettes win last year over Rory o'Malley, which many critics said would happen if voters wanted to reward H2$). Since we kind of know that basically all artsy cult shows flop after their leads leave lasting less than 6 months after they leave, if I were a producer voter stuck, Id give it to Kazzee, and give musical to Newsies justifing my decision with the previous.
Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't think Mike Nichols is going to win? I mean, I know the OCC Award doesn't really count for much, but he lost out to Nicholas Hytner there. I think Hytner or Rees/Timbers will win for the more flashy direction.
If Peter and the Starcatcher was packing them in or at least selling as well as The Best Man, Timbers and Reese would pose a serious threat to Nichols and deservingly so, since they designed rhe show from scatch with the script written after a workshop or two, while Nichols used the original design except for the lighting, meaning he only dealt with A-List egos...
Yea I agree with most of TONY's predictions and that's unfortunate.
Still holding out for Danny Burstein. Jordan is great, but he has a whole career in front of him and plenty of Tonys to win-- Buddy, I think, was the performance of Danny's career.

I don't understand how Burstein can't be considered a major contender.

I agree 100% with the previous two posts. Burstein is going to take this. Many of these predictions thus far are way-off IMHO. Kazee and Lewis are both ahead of Jordan.
