Time to support Rosie! Do we all remember what a boost Rosie was to Broadway? Rosie is on a show called The View,, she expressed hers and someone by the name of Mr. Trump didnt like it. Now hes hell bent on going on every single show on Tv,, basically repeating a script that does nothing but attack Rosie,, Perhaps turnabout is fair play,, but hes gone overboard,, If you saw The View today where "Rosies Kids" performed you would be reminded of what a huge support of charities, and broadway Rosie is.. What has Mr Trump done for this world other than make a lot of money for himself. Pls I urge you to go to Abc.com and email Barbara Walters and tell her how much you appreciatte The View and the fact that Rosie is on it!..

I *LOVE* Rosie, but she was wrong with the recent Kelly Ripa controversy. However, in THIS situation with Trump - she was just being a comedian. That's her JOB!!

GO, ROSIE, GO!!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

this is what I wrote:

Barbra,

Rosie O'Donnell has taken "The View" to a whole new level. She has turned the show into something that had been missing for the last couple of years. What she said on the show was nothing wrong and Trump has gone out of his way to not only attact her, but her body, her sexuality, and her name. The Rosie O'Donnell show was so successful and paved the way for the Ellen's of today to be successful in this field..I would go as far as to say for your show. In it's run it had 48 Emmy Nominations and 23 Wins...pretty impressive. Rosie has built herself up to be one of the most kindest human beings and has helped out the Broadway community when other people said no. We all know Rosie did nothing wrong and I hope that you and the show stand behind her. I know in your heart that you will do what is best. Rosie knows to voice her opinion, but also has a young family and it would hurt to see my mother called fat and lazy. Happy Holidays and take a little time to enjoy your view.

I appreciate all that Rosie does to support Broadway and charitable organizations, but I think there is little chance that Trump's statements are going to cause her to lose her job. The ratings for The View have increased substanitally since she joined. I would venture to say that they are going to get even better because of this controversy. Also, Barbara Walters released a statement stating that even though she is friends with Trump she stands by her co-host.
The emails, while a nice gesture, probably aren't necessary.

p.s. I think Trump is an arrogant prick.

Other than that, did you enjoy the play Mrs Lincoln?

There is no way Rosie will loose her job. she is to valuable to the network. if she lost it there would be lawyers and such...plus Barbra and Rosie are to close friends...she issued this statement today:

"Donald Trump is a personal friend of mine and has been a good friend to The View for many years. I'm sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie. That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O'Donnell as the moderator of The View. I certainly hope and expect that this tempest will pass quickly."

Several people have asked now, though nobody has answered the question. For those of us who haven't heard the story, what did Rosie do to upset The Donald? Thanks.

Ok... I am going to weigh in here and probably get b*tched at but since everyone else seems to be all like, Freedom of Speech, I feel I have every right here as well.

Rosie, is out of control. She thinks she can give her opinion anywhere she wants and is extremely outspoken. She has no right to say HALF the things she does. May I remind people that there is a freedom to speech granted to us by the first amendment but your rights end where others begin, otherwise there would be no such thing as sexual harrassment.

And it isn't even that she made fun of him and did it in a comedic way, because it started off ok, but she continues on and on with things and doesn't know when to stop. Not to mention, she did say things about Trump that were not true. I hope he sues her and wins because she truly needs to be stopped. She has lost so many fans because of her big mouth. It isn't like this is the first time she has done something like this. May I open up the Tom Sellick file. She invites him on her show to promote something or other and then tears him apart over his involvement in the NRA because she is "gung-ho" about gun control when her own bodyguards carry guns! Hypocrite, uh yea! She also has insulted Bill O'Reilly and the list just goes on and on. There is no denying she has done good things for Broadway and charities, but the woman needs to stop using her celebrity to open her big mouth with her misinformed opinion.

I say, Go Trump! Rosie needs to learn when enough is enough.

PS... this youtube link is from CNN,and it gives both Rosie's opinions and Donald's. Watch THIS one before weighing in further.
