methinks he doth protest too much... way too much
Also, he's guilty as charged (a lawyer who defends himself has a fool for a client- he's making her case).

Posted: 12/22/06 at 6:03pmBoth Rosie and Trump are Media whores and are loving the spotlight! There is NOTHING Trump can sue Rosie for, he is a very public figure and fair game (well he can sue for any reason but is unlikly to win a thing). He also, being a public figure has a forum to refute Rosie's rant. As for the bankrupcy topic, a few years back, when Trump was opening his casinos and such in NJ it was being reported in the papers that he was broke and had to file Chapter 11 to reorganize. I am sure he wants people to forget that chapter in his life.

Trump has filed for bankruptcy more than once. Rosie wasn't saying anything that wasn't true.

Only in America could a gazillionaire like the Donald file bankruptcy because he could not pay his bills
You gotta love it

Posted: 12/22/06 at 6:39pmOk, between Rosie and Trump, Trump, IMO, is more in the wrong. After watching the clip of her on the View, it didn't seem to be an INCREDIBLY awful bit. Its her, doing what she does, on a show called the view. Now, I am not sure what exactly my opinion is on how much she is in the wrong, but Mr. Trump has made that an almost null point. Attacking her in the way he has been is childish, and and completely inappropriate. I am appalled.

Posted: 12/22/06 at 7:49pmShe's on a show called "The View" - the point of the show is for her to give her opinion. I don't get why people get all up in arms about it. I think she was rude, but at the same time, I think Trump's response was TOO MUCH. He said some downright mean things.

I love The Apprentice, but I truly cannot bring myself to watch after watching Trump use such infantile language to everyone that will listen. The worst thing is that, as he did with Martha, even if he knows he's might be going overboard (as he told Howard earlier this year) he will just keep going anyway.
Rosie was stating an opinion using public knowledge facts. Trump was just being a bully, and all his facts, as usual, are wrong. He's a great TV personality, but there's no tolerance for arguing like that.

This has gone way too far. I blame the media for all the hype. Seriously, who gives a damn?
The execs for the View knew what they were getting into with Rosie, it's not unknown that she speaks her mind, sometimes a little too much, but hey, its good TV, right?
I'm not really siding with either because I think the back and forth of it all is unnecessary. And she did bring it on herself by making the "here come the lawsuits" comment.
As for Rosie support, I will always love her for bringing theatre into my life on a daily basis, and I do think she has done wonders with her charity. But enough is enough with the drama. The same goes for Trump. If hes not in the spotlight, the world can't continue to turn.
Its like a bad episode of Degrassi. (and I freaking love Degrassi..)

While I'll agree this thing with Trump has got out of hand, anyone that has ever had the opportunity to work with Rosie as I have will tell you, it is not a pleasureable experience.
She is an egomaniac of the nth degree and is not anywhere near the "Queen of Nice" that most of America has of her.
Yes, she has done a lot for Broadway and that is much appreciated but that doesn't eliminate the fact that she needs to learn to treat other people with respect and kindness.

'anyone that has ever had the opportunity to work with Rosie as I have will tell you, it is not a pleasureable experience. '
let's generalize and speak for everyone, shall we? I happen to know people in the business who DID enjoy working with her.
some people get that reputation when they expect people to do good work. or even for wanting people to simply do their job. if u can't take the heat...

The View was always so classy... until Rosie came along.
I know a lot of you guys are always supporting her, but in the end, I think she deserves a lot of what she gets. She gets herself in enough trouble with her big mouth. Sometimes, there are BETTER WAYS to say things.
The same thing goes for Trump, by the way. He's just as bad. But I don't think he's the only one to blame here. Just cause she loves Broadway doesn't make her a Goddess. She's far from it.

Posted: 12/24/06 at 1:04pmJeez... You can see who the republicans are, God forbid a woman speaks her mind on a show called "The View"! Haha! Maybe if the show was called "What You Want To Hear" it would be more understandable... I did find it hysterical that Trump was saying Rosie is too ugly for a wife like Kelly... something about people in glass houses?

anyone who believes wikipedia on anything is an idiot.....How many times do I have to post that entries on wikipedia can be posted by ANYONE and are not checked by ANYONE.
Get a brain and start using verifiable sources as you were taught to do in school.
again both Rosie and Donald acted like idiots.....

The funny thing is Rosie has said that this is nothing but a publicity stunt for Trump--- who won't shut up?? --- ROSIE! So she is just adding more fuel to the fire and extending Trump's publicity. Nice job.
I wouldn't put it past either of them to have orchestrated this entire thing.

The bankruptcy thing is very simple: Trump's BUSINESSES went bankrupt but Trump never filed for PERSONAL bankruptcy.
I've had problems with Rosie when she speaks for all gay people but I have many more problems with Donald.
I'm glad she's on the View, I'm glad she's speaking her mind. She's a genuine comic.

It's just so incredibly childish. I would expect more from "celebrities" who claim to do so much good. And these 2 people have young children. What the hell do they think they are teaching them by acting the way that they are. A complete embarassment if you ask me.
