Tina Fey Musical or Straight Play?

A report says she's considering doing a "Mean Girls" musical. I think that would be fine, but what I'd rather see her write is an original straight play on Broadway, perhaps large cast, ala Larry David's "Fish In The Dark". It would be great if she was in the cast and I'm sure many top names would love to be in it with her. I'm sure "Fish" would still be running if Larry stayed with it, and I think, perhaps, a pseudo off-shoot of 30 Rock as one possibility on stage would equally in demand Perhaps she should have a talk with Scott Rudin about it.

"A report" said a long time ago that she and her husband were, in fact, working on the Mean Girls musical.

I'd love to see her onstage, but that new quote about her working on the musical ("We'd still love to"Tina Fey Musical or Straight Play? doesn't bode well that Mean Girls is going to be happening anytime soon (or ever). I'd love her to write a play and appear in it, but for some reason she hasn't written a movie since Mean Girls. I can't see her writing anything big soon since she's busy working on Kimmy Schmidt.

And can the Marcia Clark segments really be said to have been written... at all?

I'd love to see her in a revival of "Reckless" - I don't really care if she writes anything though. I do enjoy her writing but it isn't as exciting to me, especially because she's such a funny performer.

I think Fantod was referencing Titus Burgess' character from Kimmy Schmidt.

Nope, a running joke in popular theatre-based webseries Submissions Only was that a production of Mean Girls: The Musical had a malfunction which involved an ensemble member breaking her vagina in a harness stunt (there's a phrase I never thought I'd type).

They have been working on a mean girls musical. Last I read they had completed act one or something and were going to a workshop I think this summer

She appeared in a one-night-only benefit reading of RECKLESS last year. I wasn't there, but I heard she was very good from people who were.

Wow, that sounds strange! I've never seen the Submissions Only, but that sounds painful.
