Was that a high school in Virginia? I know a school nearby had done a production of this show a couple of years ago.

No, it was in Missouri. Oddly enough, though, I do think I have seen portions of the school you mention. I was in DC a couple years ago doing a thing at the Kennedy Center, and saw a tape of it.
Edited to add - I fixed the pictures, so they should work now.

Posted: 4/6/05 at 2:52pmThe music in this show is just strikingly beautiful. I don't think there could have been a more perfect fit for Mr. Andrews. Michael Cerveris was brilliant.
re: Titanic#54
Posted: 4/6/05 at 2:58pmI thought the original cast was perfectly cast. I saw some of the replacements throughout the run, but preferred the originals, especially Michael Cerveris as Mr. Andrews.

Posted: 4/6/05 at 3:22pmI adore the music to this show, but unforturnately the book is really weak. I was kinda upset by that. I went into the theatre all psyched but when the show was over I walked out of the theatre, congratulated the people I knew in the show (community theatre production) then after the boosting of egos had subsided I leaned over to my sister and said "the boat sank so what? but at least the music was great"

I saw TITANIC on Broadway when I was in high school. The music is gorgeous and the set was intriguing, except during the performance that i saw...the ship had troubles sinking...it locked in a semi-cocked position....
But was quickly rectified and "sank" appropriately...
LOVE LOVE LOVE the music...and Brian D'Arcy James!

Posted: 4/6/05 at 5:05pmI love this musical! I think it is wonderful. I saw the original cast. The set was amazing. A three story sinking set with a flying crows nest in the orchestra was incredile! I was in tears at the end of the show! I still listen to the music all the time.
