A week or two ago, I purchased Today Tix for Death of a Salesman for tomorrow and Almost Famous for Thursday matinee. Never purchased TY before. It is Monday and I have received no info on either. I have my credit card receipts and received e-mail confirmations, so I know the sales went through.
Is this close to the curtain delivery normal? Suggestions appreciated.
Every time I've purchased from Today Tix, instructions about ticket delivery were in the initial confirmation email.
Pre-pandemic, it would tell you where to pick up your printed tickets from a concierge outside the theater. I'm not sure if they still distribute any tickets that way.
I've also purchased from Today Tix twice since the shutdown. One set of tickets was delivered as two barcodes in the confirmation email. Another set was will-call, and this was again spelled out in the confirmation email.
What does your confirmation email say? Worst case, if any wires got crossed, I'm sure you can give your name at the box office and they can reprint the tickets.
Because of the way TodayTix purchases, I don't think the box office can reprint your tickets as your name isn't on the actual ticket purchased and sometimes they buy tickets for several people in one purchase.
There should be a phone number with the confirmation. They have people available to call before curtain if you don't have your tickets sent to you. Call it before you walk into the theater and get them to send your tix to your email. They assign your seats in their office.
Thanks. I must have had a typo in my search, because I could not find a number to call. After looking at the confirm again, after reading your responses, I saw that there was a number to call.
I have to admit that I am not sure the saving is enough to have to wait until the last minute to get your ticket and find out your seat. When I bought Almost Famous, it said they would give you the best seats in the price you chose, at the time of purchase. I did find out my seat numbers for Almost Famous (since my original post, based on your feedback, I called); they had the AF tickets and sent them to me...there are still a number of better seats available in the price range I selected and the ones they sent are really far on the side...had I purchased them on Telecharge Offers I would not have taken them. Live and Learn.
At least, with the Death... ticket, I could get the exact seat...that was good...just waiting until the last minute to get the actual ticket. Per your suggestion, i sent a followup email asking if they could text me or leave the ticket at Will Call (I am having issues synching my e-mail on my Iphone), to make matters more challenging). Thanks.
I think some today tix purchases are will call? esp. when you bought and it says ASSIGNED BY BOX OFFICE.
