Doesn’t sound like they have a replacement yet, they should just give the job to Casey Nicholaw. He’s already directing all 15 of Disneys upcoming theatrical projects.

It doesn’t sound like much will change. The two people replacing him worked closely with him for 20 years. And they all report to the corporate bosses anyway. I’d like to see a new person with vision take the lead.

67 is actually very young to be moving out of this kind of job willingly. And I can’t imagine Disney firing someone due to money (there would be far more people let go than just Tom) or because they think they’re out of touch, since he’s going to be consulting for them.
There’s something else going on here. If only mice could talk…

Absolutely! What he has done for theatre has been life changing for performers and theatre goers over many decades.
