There is no official source, but it's the truth. Just thought I'd share.

Am I the only person who opened up this thread and wondered who Tommy Batchelor was and why he was playing Billy Flynn in Chicago?

No, you're not.

Are you sure it means Kiril is leaving? Tommy was scheduled to be put into the rotation anyway. Also, you had to hear it from somewhere, unless you are in fact Tommy.

ndont know the validity of this or not...but it's been going around for a while...including Kiril's departure.
However, I thought that they couldn't change the amt of actors in a rotation once they open per equity rules....any onto on that, anyone?

I removed poor Kiril from my post because I am not sure if he's leaving or not. I just assumed. But that IS Tommy's first day.

i wont believe it until it is announced but i rather keep it to three billys, it is much better and all three are doing fantastic. this wont be fair if they add one billy and not michael to the rotation. one debbie is fine.

Provided that the boys who are currently in the rotation do not take a pay cut Equity is NEVER going to complain about producers adding an extra cast member. It is when they start trying to reduce the number in the cast that Equity will put a stop to it.

If they follow the rotation as it is in London that would make sense. That would mean that with each would get to do two a week. I am not sure how it is set up with only three boys playing the role but I do have the feeling that there is at least one who goes on more then the others. If they had 4 boys playing the role then it would be fair and even.

Per Equity rules, you're not allowed to reduce the number of cast members after opening night.

So then, no one knows for sure if Kiril is leaving? Why would he be? (I must have missed that somewhere)

The rumors have been circulating the Kiril is hitting puberty and his voice is starting to crack, that would be why he would leave.

Its like trying to play Whack A Mole with this rumor. I think some people were trying to guess who'd leave first and Kiril apparently got nominated (my guess is cause hes the tallest, cant be his voice its perfectly ok). So now this guessing turned into rumors which turned into a "date". There is NO fact behind any of this its all "I heard" and then that part goes away.Soon enough one will leave but most likely it'll be obvious who it'll be and we are NOT there yet. Im more interested in whos in the pipe even after Tommy...there can never be enough Billy's, they'll need dozens in the long run.

The London Billy has four in rotation, and Melbourne currently has five. It seems like a natural thing to increase rotation to four.

The current rotation goes 3-3-2. Every third week one of the boys gets to do two shows, not 3. It's pretty even.

i know it's sometimes hard to predict, but...does anyone know who is going on as billy tonight (thursday jan. 22)? are any of the leads on vacation right now?
the show is fabulous regardless of who is billy, but i am taking a friend tonight and was just curious about who might be in/out.
thanks!
