While I'd love to see Tommy Tune back on Broadway I don't think that DOCTOR DOLITTLE is the show for him. I just can't see him being a believable Englishman. How much do you want to bet he taps with the penguins?

I just had a visual memory of Dick van Dyke and the penguins in "Mary Poppins".

Too true...LOL!

ummmm...I just decided to go and re-read the BBW story about Tune and Dolittle...HOW THE HELL did I miss the line about Dee Hoty being offered the title role opposite him?

Love Hoty....and hope this is good for her. Her last outing for Tune was the wonderfully scored, but awfully staged Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public.

I think this could be a wonderful thing. Whether or not you like Tune personally, he is a genius. He could work wonders with this production. Im also just happy that he is back and working again.
