I'd love to see Benjamin Walker nominated for BBAJ.

I was thinking the same thing. I think Benjamin acutally deserves the Tony, not just the nom. Fantastic performace!
Here is my ideal choices for the Acting categories (sans the nomination lists)
BEST ACTOR/MUSICAL:
Benjamin Walker (BBAJ)
BEST ACTRESS/MUSICAL:
BEST FEATURED ACTOR/MUSICAL:
Tony Sheldon or Nick Adams (PRISCILLA)
BEST FEATURED ACTRESS/MUSICAL:
Laura Benanti (WOTV)
I figure that Tony Sheldon would have very good odds in the featured category. I feel the show is essentially is an ensemble show, and pushing any one of the three leads as "Leading Actor" makes a weak case up against other nominees.
If it's any possible gauge as to what possible Tony noms BBAJ can receive, they just got nominated for 3 Lortels (Best Musical, Best Choreography, and Best Scenic Design)
BBAJ wasn't awful, and Benjamin Walker was well-cast, but it won't be winning any major Tonys.
There doesn't seem to be any discussion of plays in this thread, but Lily Rabe for featured (or leading?) actress, anyone?
I hope Frances McDormand wins.
For those who have seen Patina and Sutton, who would you give the Tony to?
I hope Frances McDormand wins.
I haven't seen Good People yet! That's on my list.

McDormand was stunning, so I agree.
Haven't seen Patina yet, but I think Sutton is more competition than people are giving her credit for being.

I think Laura Benanti will be nominated in the featured actress category. She could also win, though she won so recently.

Time between nominations and wins, I feel, hardly has any bearing on a person's chances of winning.
Examples: Gwen Verdon, won Best Actress/Musical in 1956, 1958, and 1959. Angela Lansbury won the same in 1966 and 1969, as did Donna Murphy in 1994 and 1996.
I've seen both Sutton and Patina - it's totally a toss-up. Patina might win because she's a relative unknown, but Sutton does an excellent job as Reno Sweeney.
I wouldn't discount Nina Arianda giving Frances or Lily Rabe a run for their money in Best Actress. She's a pretty hot commodity within the industry right now, and with only two performances under her belt, her Billie Dawn is garnering significant buzz. I still think Frances is the clear and deserving front-runner, but I think Arianda is going to end up being her strongest competitor.
