Hello All,
I am seeing a broadway show in two weeks and wanted to eat in one of the famous New York theatre restaurants. When I saw Gypsy I ate at Sardi's and enjoyed it quite a lot. I am debating wether to see Billy Elliot, Shrek or Next to Normal. I am leaning toward Billy Elliot now but I wanted o know which restaurant you recommend more: Angus McIndoe or Tony DiNapoli's.
Thank You
They're both overpriced for what you get but if the choice is only between the two, I would go with DiNapoli's. I've been to both more times than I can count and just prefer Tony's over Angus.

Tony's food is better
Both are costly, but I enjoy Tony's food more :)
I LOVE Angus. :)
I prefer Angus.
But I prefer GADS of restaurants over either one.

Since people are going both ways maybe this will make it more simple. Which one would be better for a family.
Tony's is the place to go. I also love Becco you should look into that as well. Anyway enjoy!
Tony's is basically like Carmines. They do it family style . Angus is more intimate and is more Broadway.
We ate at both and enjoyed both. If you want Italian go to Tony's. If not and you want a smaller venue with more variety go to Angus

Thank You for all your help. I am leaning towards Angus right now but I still have an open mind.

I will throw in my vote for Angus as well.
Loved sitting in the front of the restaurant post-show watching the people walk by while I was enjoying a wonderful meal.
Not sure how big your family is, or how young the children (if any) are, but I don't think of Angus as a family place. It's fairly small and not necessarily conducive to large groups.
Both good choices, but I'd say Angus too.
I vote for Angus also. I like the food and atmosphere much better than Tony's.

Just went to Angus on Thursday, that gets my vote! The atmosphere is really intimate, and the food was great. But I agree with madbrian, it's not a kids place.
DiNapoli's is where the portraits are, right?
