"i love christine ebersole but what a bad choice."
That song will allow the producers of the show to best sell and show off "Grey Gardens" and Christine in the one performance they are allowed.

My ideal Grey Gardens performance:
Start with Big Edie in her bed saying some of her quirky lines (to feature Wilson). That prompts the beginning of the song, "Entering Grey Gardens" (a song that I think presents the show well to an audience that might not be familiar with the story). Then let that lead into Ebersole singing "Around the World" (or Winter/Summertown, I guess).
"jelly **isn't** jelly til you set it".....ooh, that makes me shutter.

"Does anyone have a list of shows and which numbers they are performing tomorrow?"
You could also check the official tony website at www.tonyawards.com under "tony night" they have all the performers listed and say there might be "surprise" performances too.
Here's a mention of the performances from the Tony website.
"Broadway fans who tune in will get to see some of the most exciting musical performances of the season. There will be numbers from all of the Best Musical nominees, which include: Curtains, Grey Gardens, Mary Poppins, and Spring Awakening. In addition, three of the Best Revival of a Musical nominees, 110 in the Shade, A Chorus Line and Company, will perform.
The telecast will also feature a special performance from "American Idol" winner, Fantasia, who is currently starring on Broadway in the hit musical The Color Purple. Check back for news about other performances as we get closer to June 10—and get ready for last-minute surprises!"

Posted: 6/10/07 at 2:04pmI finally listened to the OBC of Grey Gardens that my voice teacher lent to me, and I agree that the song choice for the Tonys isn't ideal. "Another Winter in a Summer Town" would have been best, IMO.

Well I originally thought after hearing that they are performing was that they were going to do the opening number and that it would be Oh What A Night, but then I read that they are coming on around 10 so maybe they are doing the same thing that SpamAlot did last year and what Avenue Q did the year before.

Posted: 6/10/07 at 4:00pmI was just sitting here reading about the performances and I thought to myself "They should have gotten the Dreamgirls cast together to do something" and now that I have been thinking about that for awhile I am really disappointed that they did not ask them to perform. It definitley would have brought in the viewers the keep complaining that they do not have.
