Cherry Jones and Christina Applegate are the only ones I agree with and Applegate I wouldn't bet on. Doubt as Best Play and 12 Angry Men as revival are as close to sure thangs as we get this season, I think.
I don't think Victoria Clark is a lock. They can certainly pull a "Tonys 2004" - and Christina can easily win this award. They are both worthy.

I'm sorry you haven't had an oppurtunity to see ANY shows this season...
umm... not sure about those predictions... PhantomMag what shows have you seen this season? just curious...

What made you choose Gem? Really- I'm curious. And why the most unknown of the three Glengarry nominees?
Leading Actor Joined: 5/28/05
Well the reason I chose La Cage aux Follies was because it won all the other awards!

Um...I think a lot of those predictions are going to be wrong, come June 5th.

How about eight?
Gem
Lithgow
Virginia Woolf
Crudup
Applegate
Clapp
Sieber
Ryan
I'm almost positive that Norbert Leo Butz will win for best actor in a musical... i'm leaning toward DRS or Spamalot for Best musical... and best play will most likely be Doubt... revival of a play-proabably 12 angry men.

Here's mine, I think they're more likely.
Best Play:
Doubt
Best Musical:
Spamalot, but I'd like to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Play Revival:
Unsure, Twelve Angry Men or Glengarry Glen Ross
Musical Revival:
La Cage Aux Folles
Best Actor (Play):
Bryan F. O'Byrne or Billy Crudup
Best Actress (Play):
Cherry Jones
Best Actor (Musical):
Norbert Leo Butz
Best Actress (Musical):
Victoria Clark, but Christina could sneak one.
Featured Actor (Play):
Alan Alda
Featured Actress (Play):
Adrianne Lenox
Featured Actor (Musical):
This could seriously be anyone, but for fun I'll say Marc Kudish.
Featured Actress (Musical):
I originally thought Sara Ramirez had this locked, but it looks pretty tight now. Keili O' Hara or Jan Maxwell could snatch it.
Director (Play):
Doug Hughes
Director (Musical):
Mike Nichols, but I'd like Jack O'Brien to get it.

Ramirez is the favorite.
Jan Maxwell is the dark horse.
O'Hara will get votes and has a shot.
We'll see.
featured actress in a musical for me is the hardest to predict... i thought ramirez, but she wasnt even nominated for Drama Desk Awards... i still think Ramirez could pull it off though...

THESE ARE THE WINNERS THAT I WOULD WANT IF I WAS THE ONLY PERSON ALLOWED TO VOTE FOR THE TONYS... IT'S NOT WHO I WOULD THINK WILL WIN COME JUNE 5TH, JUST THE ONES I WOULD want TO WIN AND I WILL BE ROOTING FOR. [some aren't included becuase I just don't care]

After seeing all the nominees for best leading actress, I really feel that Victoria is a shoe-in at this point. Out of all of them (Sutton, Sherie, Christina and Dilly) she certainly has the best chance and deserves it the most.
