Tony nominations Live Stream

I have been enjoying reading the reactions from the various nominees throughout the day today. I love how so many of them were having issues with the live stream, as have many other people.

It's really kind of embarrassing that in 2017 they can't figure this out. However, I don't think they have any incentive to fix it. I doubt being called out by the likes of Linda Cho, Dave Malloy, and others will cause them to fix this annual issue.

I agree. Pretty crazy that in 2017 with today's technology, they can never seem to get this right.

On SiriusXM Julie and Christine were announcing the nominees when I woke up about 5:45 a.m. and turned it on. I don't know what happened at the beginning of the broadcast. Eventually the stream came back and Jane and Christopher made the rest of the announcements. Unfortunately, with the issues, it reduced the time allotted to Julie and Christine to discuss and debate the nominees, snubs, etc., which frankly, I enjoy listening to more than the nominee roll call.

A big mess and really ruins the excitement of watching it unfold live.

Facebook Live would be a much better alternative to this annual embarrassment.

I didn't bother to try this morning, since I'm not really emotionally invested in any of this year's races, but it has worked for me in the past. Doesn't surprise me that they messed up again, though.
