Hey guys, I’ll be heading up to the city (flying into Newark) on Saturday, June 8th. Our flight should be landing around 10:30 AM, and I was definitely hoping I could get into the city to grab tickets to a matinee probably around 11-12 PM. I’ve bought tickets to all the shows I care the most about, I just wanted to hold off on the morning-of matinee incase our flight gets delayed.
First and foremost I’d LOVE to get tickets to Kiss Me, Kate, and if not that then Be More Chill would also be cool. What is the best way to go about getting into either of those shows? I’m worried about Rush/TKTS because it’s Tony weekend in the middle of June and I’m sure it will be packed. I don’t know if I can digital rush Kiss Me, Kate, either simply because I think I’ll still be on a flight when it opens.
This will be my third time going into the city for a theatre trip, but my first time using TKTS/Rushing/Lotteries. Any advice?

You won't have any troubles getting rush tickets for "Be More Chill" & "Kiss Me Kate" that weekend. I rushed both shows earlier this month, was first in line at the box office when I got there at 7:30am, and had great seats. Enjoy!

Glad to hear that, thank you!
Where were your seats for both performances? Also, if you don't mind, which did you prefer?

You should be able to enter BMC digital lottery the night before.
KMK digital rush starts at 10am. Maybe you’ll get lucky and land early so you can enter.

Even the front mezzanine has limited legroom but is bearable if you don’t have any knee problems. I have long legs and knee problems and will never sit in the rear mezzanine at that theater again. However I was able to tolerate the front mezzanine. I have heard people say that even if they have short legs that the rear mezzanine is torture at Studio 54.

Thanks Miles! Good to know.
I think I'll go ahead and enter BMC Lottery the night beforehand, and then I'll swing by the Studio 54 Box Office around 11:30 AM that morning for Kiss Me, Kate, regardless of what happens with BMC. If they're sold out of in-person Rush, then I'll head over to TKTS assuming it's available over there. If that falls though and KMK doesn't work out, then I'll still have the Lyceum Box Office to check out. I think I have my fair share of options. Plus, other shows!
In addition to whatever happens that morning, I'll be seeing Beetlejuice, The Prom, Frozen, Tootsie, and Hadestown this trip. In March I saw Mean Girls, King Kong, and Dear Evan Hansen. Anything else I should check out while I can?
On a totally unrelated note, I'm sad that Jessica Vosk/Amanda Jane Cooper's 54 Below show is on Friday the 7th. I'd die to go to that, but I'm unfortunately a day off haha.

Posted: 5/31/19 at 1:06amWhile not cheap, I’d encourage you consider a ticket to TKAM. Definitely not cheap and you’d need to buy ahead of time, but I’m looking forward to seeing it on my Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 trip. I’m also planning on seeing Oklahoma! during that trip and if you don’t win the lottery they send you a loser code for $59 I believe.
