Ahhh. This is exciting. I knew the Karen Olivo album would be inevitable. But Chita Rivera recording an album too? Now that's really awesome!
Can't wait. The label sounds great.

This is wonderful news! I've been hoping for Karen to do a solo album. Can't wait for it to come out!
I just adore Karen's vocals so the idea of a Karen Olivo solo album is fantastic! I just hope she records showtunes instead of trying to do the typical Joni Mitchell/Billy Joel/Etc stuff that are found in many solo albums by Broadway artists. Though I'm sure she'll probably record a song by her talented husband I'm hoping she records something from EVITA and I'd love for her to throw "I Miss the Mountains" in there.
And I'm with LJay, the prospect of a Chita Rivera solo album is truly exciting! I'm sure she'll include some Kander & Ebb in there, and I'd love it for her to record some Sondheim.
I'm sure Lin-Manuel Miranda will write her a song like he did for Andrea Burns.
Oh, I'm sure as well. And I hope it's as good as "BTW Write Back" which is a great song and Burns sells it like no one can.
I think she should do a mix of both (similar to what Julia Murney did).
I'm happy for Chita Rivera. She's a real trouper and a class act in every way. Oh, and a Medal of Freedom recipient to boot.

I'm going to by both of these!
Just thinking about a Chita Rivera solo album gives me goose bumps!
I really hope she includes something from "The Visit".
I think Chita should record "Chita-Rita" with special guest Rita Moreno.
givesmevoice, should that happen, I think every little gay boy (mentioned in the song) could rest happy.
A Chita CD is long overdue and much anticipated. Karen Olivo I could live without.
I believe Chita recorded a few albums in the 50's/60's. Unfortunately they were never released on CD, like Elaine Stritch's and Gwen Verdon's albums were.
