Does Finding Neverland have any chance of slipping in there and getting nominated for anything, you think, Jeffrey?

Josh Young got nominated for Jesus Christ Superstar and he was out for most of the previews!

I think Gallagher will nominated. Now that he's feeling better, he matches Cheno beat for beat on that stage.
I don't see Watanabe getting a nomination.

Given the show's lackluster reviews, it would have to take one real fluke to get some major nominations. I'm sure the producers are probably trying to buy some by announcing the national tour today.
In terms of other categories, what nominations could it probably receive?

This list is also missing everyone from AIRLINE HIGHWAY and has Leanne Cope in the wrong category.

Right, but they also haven't met on ISBY and FUN HOME and he makes judgement calls about category placement for many people from those shows.

Just curious because I've seen some on here say that Tony voters don't always pay mind to what the critics say. And the show does seem to be popular with the crowds.
Could it slip in as a nominee instead of the Vegas show?
I've also seen some on here saying that the critics actually found the performances in FN to be not so bad. It's just the show that didn't hit the mark with them. So possibly one of the actors could get a nod?

I suspect Finding Neverland could still sneak in as a Best Musical nominee, due to Harvey Weinstein's aggressive campaigning. The fact that a tour has already been announced will only intice the voters who are regional theatre owners to nominate the show and give it cache as a Tony-Nominated piece before it travels around.

I really don't think Neverland will be nominated for best musical. There are so many choices this year, they don't have to.
