Just curious from your experiences, what shows in London do Premium Tickets and what shows do Day Tickets?

I think the majority do premium, and yes I have even paid premium before for two shows

Wont be long before they start doing aisle seating in the West End. Now that is taking the piss!

What do you mean by aisle seating? Charging more for those seats? Does anywhere actually do that? Presumably we're talking about centre aisles here - fortunately not many West End theatres seem to have those.
Only time I've bought a premium seat was for A View from the Bridge - and that was because it was near the end of the run, those were the only decent seats left and I really wanted to see it. While I still hate the idea of premium seating, I didn't see many better productions last year so I don't really mind in that case!

A large amount of Broadway shows do yes, and have done for some time. The biggest joke of all tho is that if you buy two seats on the aisle you pay the premium price for the two, not just the one on the actual aisle.

All the Jujamcyn theatres (St. James, Al Hirschfeld, Walter Kerr, Eugene O'Neill and August Wilson) started upping the price for aisle seats in spring 2008 - so that would include Gypsy. Hair and Jersey Boys no longer offer them (at Jersey Boys they're just premiums anyway) but American Idiot, Fela! amd A Little Night Music do. It costs about $25-$30 more per ticket over the regular price.

£11: Waiting for Godot
£10/£15: Misanthrope (standing)
£20: Grease
£25: Sister Act, Hairspray, Wicked, Enron, Legally Blonde (lottery).

I also know that War Horse does premium tickets and Billy Elliot does day tickets for the first two rowsin the stalls.

Ave Q - premium seats at 55-60 are less than top price for many shows.

Yes, it was deleted. Probably for the anti-British sentiment that descended into name-calling. It got ugly. I don't know who reported it, but I'm sort of glad it's gone.

Just a fun thread, I thought I do instead of asking a direct question, top being the most expensive premium tickets and bottom being the cheapest, with theatres having so many variations I thought I ask a general question hoping my one will be answered.
Sorry to disappoint you Mat, reading in between the lines, I know you expected the subject on portable step ladders and their role in a 21st dysfunctional society and how this impact on mosaic art today.

Anyone know if Oliver does day tickets please?
Just on premium tickets a producer will do his best to sell as many premium tickets as he can, this can range from 0 - 600+ depending how popular your show is and performance times.
While trying to buy Broadway tickets 2 months in advance for the end of March I have noticed tickets I was being offered were in rubbish locations, such as down the side or the the back of the orchestra for the centre.
This could be for 2 reasons;
1- The have sold out all the centre orchestra (wish I doubt) or
2- They are holding a big as possible area for premium tickets, say using the centre orchestra from row c to row M.
This is my assumption that theatre producers sell all the bad tickets first, making a big area for premium tickets, when the date gets near, producers will convert proposed premium tickets to normal top range tickets at $136, if the producers still have only sold a few premium and some normal tickets, they then put all other tickets on TKTS.
If this is the case this is outrageous, normal theatre fans go and buy our tickets early, so we are guaranteed to see our chosen show, but get offered a rubbish ticket, but someone who has bought a ticket for a cheap price, gets a far more superior seat.
Tell me my philosophy is wrong please?

Oliver do student standby tickets for £22.50 Monday-Thursday if I remember correctly.
