Does anyone have the stats/knowledge on how often cast members from US National Tours perform in the Broadway production afterwards? Thanks

Since the majority of tours, tour after the closing of the Broadway production I would say it's an extremely low number.

Of the top of my head, it happens alot with shows like Wicked that are long running. The tour is their big break, and they reprise the role in NY. But as Call me Jorge states, it doesn't happen often because tours ussaly come after the Broadway production.

Phantom and Mamma Mia were both decently good about that as well. The current Christine came off the national tour and the last Pepper in Mamma Mia did as well.

I remember when the 1st National Tour of MISS SAIGON went out around 1994 it actually was a more lavish production that it's Broadway incarnation (if that was even possible). There was an article written somewhere where Cameron Macintosh was quoted (and criticized for) saying that the MISS SAIGON 1st National Tour was intentionally cast with "better" actors than the Broadway production (original cast now long gone) because they were aware that most people will see the tour than the Broadway production. As expected, virtually every actor on this tour ended up in the Broadway production at some point.

Think Cameron was cranking that publicity machine of his. The 2 original leads of Miss Saigon were both Oliver and Tony winners, even the show didn't win any of those awards, this just goes to show how strong the leads were (Jonathan Pryce and Lea Salonga), bot massive theatre stars.
The first revival of Les Miserable the set and actors can off tour and also Bring It On and Hair.

For the current revival of Les Mis, it started at PaperMill, went on tour for like three years, went to Toronto, and then went to Broadway. A good handful of people who did anything in the Pre-Bway productions were brought in for the Broadway production. Unfortunately, some who did a lead role on tour was put in the ensemble and just understudied the role.
They keep bringing in people from the tour back into the Bway show.

Phantom of London - as I mentioned, the original Broadway cast, including Pryce and Salonga were LONG gone from the Broadway production of MISS SAIGON by the time the 1st National Tour went out in 1994. He was referring to the principals currently (circa 1994) in the Broadway cast and why he cast the tour with superior actors adding that since most people would be seeing the tour of the musical, he wanted the BEST representation of MISS SAIGON in every way, hence why the touring version was more lavish. The tour played 3 month stops due to its ridiculous budget and many theatres had to add extensions to their stages just to accommodate the touring production.
