#1Touring shows 2014/2015 ???
Posted: 11/14/13 at 10:09amWas reading this morning about Newsies going on tour 2014/2015 so I was just curious what current touring shows will continue to tour in 2014/2015 and what new shows will be added to the list? Still haven't caught American Idiot, Bring It On, or Porgy and Bess that's currently touring. As far as new shows...I'd love to see Motown, Matilda, Kinky Boots, and Big Fish! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

It's pretty early for any local theatres to announce their 2014-2015 season (mine announced theirs in January). While they announced that Newsies is coming, they haven't mentioned any other shows yet.
Other than catching show-specific announcements, you'll probably just need to wait until your theatre(s) puts out their press release.

Posted: 11/14/13 at 4:56pmI would be very surprised if Bif Fish ever toured. I think First Date has a better chance - and even that....

So far new tours next season:
Kinky Boots
Newsies
Motown
Pippin
Cinderella
Annie
Any news on a Matilda tour or sit-down? I think a mini-tour could be good with there being so many children.

Posted: 11/14/13 at 9:44pmTim Minchin (or maybe one of the producers?) did an interview recently in which it seemed as if Matilda would not be hitting the road until the 2015-2016 season. I'm guessing it would be due to a combination of the schedules of the creative team as well as figuring out how to move the physical production without compromising it too much. The false proscenium especially would have to be very carefully thought out, and it doesn't seem like an element they would be willing to lose.
