All the noise on this board regarding this play is unfortunate, this show has depth and some really fine performances. The themes of loyalty, alcoholism, religion, family values are revolving in a multi-year setting in a hot Texas town. Could be any town but Mary Testa is so funny and strong, Jodie Lynne McClintock, a friend many of us have. The men were a little hard to take and the play a little long but I have been thinking about it for days.
Take a chance you won't be disappointed.

"...and the play a little long but I have been thinking about it for days."
And I've been thinking about the 3 hours of my life I'll never get back.

As was the case with DESPERATE WRITERS, the positive comments and raves are always from someone who just joined the forum today ..... time for the devil to teach the shills some new tricks.

We received an email today from a cast members agent. She is about to quit the show and wanted to see our information. We will share it with her.
We have also exchanged information with Actors Equity. I think they will act soon.
Both the history of Tony Georges and the quality of this show are about to stop this mess. Cast and crew members have also requested a meeting with Tony Georges to get the facts about the finances. He will bull-**** them, but they are not going to buy it anymore.
We also learned that several cast members have equity/ownership in the show. They are working for reduced salaries for an royalty/ownership stake. They must see the writing on the wall - the business of the whole production is suspect and the show has been wholly dismissed and even laughed at by the NY theatre community.
This show will CLOSE before it opens. Guaranteed.
