Saw it tonight and was pleasantly surprised. We found it thoroughly enjoyable. Great dance numbers, performers, sets, costumes & projections. The general idea of the show was a singing/dancing revue of the 60's and it succeeded.
Unfortunately, it is not long for this world. I have never seen a theater as empty as we saw tonight. The first 4 or 5 rows were basically full. The rest of the theater was TOTALLY empty.I saw a few tv spots but not lately . I guess the producers pulled them rather than lose more money. The show is on a death watch and the notice should go up any day.It is a quality entertaining show that is simply not pulling in customers. My feeling would be this might excel in Vegas.
On my way into the men's room on the way out, who do I spot but old Bruce Villanch. He was friendly and looks like a big huge teddy bear with a mop top.He was pleasant and jovial to us.
Back to the show. See it before it closes.
I'm glad you enjoyed the show, but it has (probably) been doing this sort of business for a while now. Just because it was empty on the night that YOU were in attendance doesn't mean a "notice will be posted any day now."
But hey, maybe I'm wrong.
In 50 plus years of theater going ,I have never saw a theater as empty as I did tonight. The Playbill had inserts showing 4 ensemble members were played by others tonight. I think they may have been trying to latch on to another show.
Many on the board have made similar comments re it being empty. I think tonight was the norm. I really felt for the performers. They gave it their all and it had to be disheartening for them seeing all those empty seats.

I'm seeing it very soon despite the flaws I've heard so much about. Not that I'm adding much to the till, but at least there'll be one fewer empty seat. I hate to see any show struggle.
I am sure you will like it. If you like the songs of the 60's and great singing & dancing, you should like it.
Your sentiment is a noble one
I have hesitated seeing this because I heard the sound was waaaay too loud. Did you find that to be the case or have they toned it down?
I know people get their panties in a wad when someone creates a unnecessary new thread. When I saw the title I thought something catastrophic had happened but then I saw Roxy was the creator and it would just be some blabbering. Other people have seen the show and written about it here. He could have joined in the conversation but felt his viewing required a new thread.
Just as he felt his specific performance was the one significant empty one that warranted a closing notice to be posted soon. Hmph.

Roxy, you are the reason that producers offer so few tickets to the papering services anymore, and it's clear you were comped. Producers know that Internet ghouls such as yourself are going to grab the comps as fast as you can and then race home to spew garbage about the show all over the place. In this case, as is typical for you, you have decided to post the show's fictional closing notice. You really should be banned from TDF as well as all papering services.

Your sixth grade attempts at insults are hilarious, and even though engaging with you feels liike I'm talking to a bucket of slime, the one positive thing is that this has slightly derailed the Roxy Monster's latest troll thread.

To answer the question about loudness... I HATE loud, and carry earplugs even for movies. For this show, I was near the front on the side, and did not need to use the earplugs.
Greased. Get a grip
All I said was everyone else commented it was dying at the box office and I commented the theater was empty. I doubt the producers want to continue to lose their shirts week after week hence my remark. My God, if the theater is empty during the Holiday season, what will it do in January?
We will see who is right and who is wrong snarkiness notwithstanding.
Ennie, how was your performance attended?
Papering houses?
Of all the posts in this thread you're telling ME to get a grip, Roxy? HA HA HA HA HA HA. Ok.
