Emma MK said: I cant believe Ticketmaster let scalpers buy and resell tickets at such a huge profit though. I have planned trips to NY in March and October next year and looking at tickets for March, all the tickets are resale tickets and they are selling the back row of the balcony for $230+ which would have originally cost a whole lot less than that. Some of the aisle seats in the stalls are being resold for $1,300! Which is extortionate! Im very thankful that i have my ticket for October, but am saddened that i will not likely be able to see the original cast unless i miraculously win the lottery in March.
In defense of some "scalpers": When you try to resell a ticket at a reasonable price (in my case, the same price I paid for a premium ticket I no longer want), Ticketmaster adds quite a bit on top of that. They added about $200 to what I was asking for my ticket (face value) so that I can get back what I paid. Of course, some people are asking for way more than that. I don't consider myself a scalper.
