Hello, all!
So, I come to you with a quick (albeit random) question:
If I was to see two shows in one day, would I be able to bring the matinee's playbill into the evening show? I've never had a double-header before. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to cause any problems upon entry. Maybe bring a backpack or something to hold it in?

That wouldn't be a problem at all. I suggest bringing a small bag to keep it safe and in tact!

Yeah I've been having 2 show days every Saturday this month. I just roll up the matinee playbill and put it in my pocket. Even if you have it in your hands, they won't mind at all :)

No problem in any way. .with or without a bag.

You can even do three shows in a day (or you could, when Hedwig did a 10PM show) and bring TWO other Playbills with you! And you'd pick up 2 more at Hedwig, if you knew what you were doing!

I use a small messenger bag and typically have all my Playbills from the entire weekend in it! That can be up to 5 different Playbills depending on the weekend.

I've done worse than playbills before - I brought a cast-signed poster of "The Curious Incident" to "The Real Thing" at American Airlines Theatre. No problems at all, all I got was a couple people asking me if the show was any good. (Well, hello .......
)
My record is still 4 shows in a day - 10am for Wintuk, 2pm for "Promises, Promises", 7pm for NY Christmas Spectacular, and 10pm for "Fuerza Burta". It was a loooooooong day ... ![]()

^ I did the same with a matinee of You Can't Take It With You and an evening performance of It's Only a Play when they were both in previews. I had posters from both and no one said anything.
Also, the year before that I saw a matinee of Big Fish and an evening performance of Kinky Boots. Again, nobody minded.

I have at least one 2 show day on every trip to NYC. It's my favorite day.
I have lost my Playbills once or twice, or tossed them b/c I couldn't keep up with them for between show drinks and meals....well...probably the drinks part caused the lost Playbills.

I get very sad when I could only see one Broadway show in a day of theater-going. I usually try to make it back to my hotel between shows only so that I don't have so much to juggle around.

Quick note: bringing a backpack is no problem, if you might be carrying other things around. At some theaters they'll ask you to open it and do a very cursory check, that's all.
