I've been meaning to post about this show. I did the show with Rachel Helson (That's me in the picture with her above) back in 2005 here in Louisville, KY. She played Janet and produced it for 2 years in a row here in Louisville, playing the part at age 16 and 17, and was amazing both times.
She's such a great person, performer, and a joy to work with and I have no doubt she's putting together a stellar show.
I just wish I had the money to come see it.

Posted: 2/25/07 at 7:07pmI am doing it right now. Next weekend is our last...so if anyone is in the Philadelphia area they should totally check it out. I think it is an exceptional production.

Tickets were $100 for the whole house with the exception of some of the Mezz, which was $50. Sorry I don't remember the specifics.
When I had purchased the tickets not many had been sold yet. I am going to be sitting in the front row center Orch. I was considering a little further back so I could see any audience participation, but really I'm going more for the show.
In any case, its for a great cause and looks like a ton of fun. Hope to see some of you there!

Okay, I won't. So, who's who in the cast? jk
Glad to see Kevin Cahoon as Frank! He was great when he played him in the recent revival. I saw him understudie for Terrence Mann.

More casting news!
The good:
Kate Reinders as Columbia
Michael Arden as Riff Raff
Which I am very excited about! They seem great for the roles!
However, the bad:
The producer has cast herself as Janet
(insert eyeroll)

Posted: 2/28/07 at 3:51pmI cannot see either of them in those parts.
#14re: Rocky Horror Tribute Show- 4/16
Posted: 2/28/07 at 3:56pmPerhaps you did not see Reinders in her current Galinda stint. Bitch is crazy, but I see that manic nature fitting very well with the Columbia character.

#16re: Rocky Horror Tribute Show- 4/16
Posted: 2/28/07 at 4:25pmMichael Arden as Riff Raff? Shouldn't HE be playing Janet?
#17re: Rocky Horror Tribute Show- 4/16
Posted: 2/28/07 at 4:48pmI love Arden. Now I wanna go even more.
#18re: Rocky Horror Tribute Show- 4/16

Now, don't get me wrong, I love Michael Arden... but really?
Cahoon and Reinders will be great.

Arden reminds me alot of Esparza. I guess we will see if he is able to suprise us and turn in as good a performance...

I want to freakin' cry. There is no way I can see this, and Cahoon was my first Frank....wah.
Pity party over. I hope to see VERY detailed reports about it!

Posted: 2/28/07 at 6:13pmdirty rotten guy, was there a service charge along with the ticket price? I'm wondering because otherwise I'll just go to the box office and buy them in person.

Posted: 2/28/07 at 6:20pmArden as Riff is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Wrong sound, wrong look (although that can be fixed, I guess). But just... why bother?
