Also, remember that this cast was pretty diverse to begin with...Billy, Jigger, and the Starkeeper are all POC, and we don't even know what the ensemble will look like yet.

I don't have mind reading abilities, and neither do you, so neither of us know what they were thinking. I made a cynical guess about a possible motivation for the switch, and I apologize to anyone I offended. Again, I am in full support of her playing Carrie, and am happy that this production of Carousel has a diverse cast - whether that was what they were "going for" or not.

Is this the same production from Chicago 2 years ago with Steven Pasquale, Laura Osnes and Jarrod Emick? reworked? same sets? That production was very well received....
