To her credit, when she would sign playbills, she would draw a TV. It was cute.
I think it was when she was doing press for Across the Universe (she was Prudence) that she said she had the same name as her mother, who's a well known singer in Hong Kong, so T.V. uses her initials to differentiate.
...and this is why I shouldn't be going on BWW while procrastinating on very little sleep.

Posted: 5/10/09 at 8:51amAll of the understudies from Story of My Life (Bradley Dean, who also understudied Esparza in Company and Jim Stanek of Lestat) and Glory Days (even though Alex Brightman is now in Wicked and Jeremy Woodard has been on plenty for Stacee & Drew in Rock of Ages). And I hear different things on this - did Christian Borle ever go on for Malcolm Gets in Amour? I'm assuming not.

Posted: 5/10/09 at 9:56amJulie Reiber should have been bumped up to full-time Elphaba

she did not go on yet since alli mauzey has had a perfect attendance for almost 3 months now.

Posted: 5/10/09 at 11:15amDefinitely Saycon. I do think she on quite often for the four women she was standby for(there are a few video of her out there...). Four! why did she not get the role!! I'm a big Saycon fan haha. Please ask her back producers, this time as the main Elphaba!

no it is not insane to show up to work. i just think that it is impressive that she was not sick or did not take a personal day or went on vacation.
insane was probably the wrong word for her perfect attendance.

Julie Reiber got screwed big time- It must be oh so fun to become your former standby's standby.
Noah Weisberg and Annaleigh Ashford in Legally Blonde- clips of them are on "that site" and its a real pity they only got to go on once.

Posted: 5/10/09 at 12:41pmSaycon was an amazing Elphaba. But like someone already said, she's also awesome in Hair, so I don't see her returning to Wicked anytime soon.

I think it must be frustrating for any understudies that don't get too much of a chance to go on. (And for thier families.)
And the understudies are the ones that have to go to so many more of the rehearsals for the newbies.
I realize that is part of their job...but I'm sure it gets to be a downer after a while.

"i just think that it is impressive that she was not sick or did not take a personal day or went on vacation."
Alli has been sick but she still went on. In the winter time she was sick for a good 2 weeks and didn't miss a show. She also stopped doing the high note at that time because it hurt her throat.

Well they are well known enough to be called by just their first name. They are no Patti or Liza or Bernadette.
When it comes to Wicked people always think they can call everyone by their first names like they are legends, they are not.

Posted: 5/10/09 at 2:51pmi just thought that everyone would know about whom i was talking since laura woyasz was already mentioned at the beginning of this thread.

I'd have to agree. I'm not that impressed with it, especially after reading this hype. I don't feel the energy like you do with LBB.

They only went on once together, but Noah went on a few times as Emmett from what I remember, perhaps like eight or nine times. I saw him in November of 2007 with Laura Bell and he was really amazing and the two of them had pretty great chemistry, too. None of the Margot covers for Elle ever got to go on more than two times.
