Am currently planning a trip for my partner and I to see a bunch of shows (haven't been in almost 2 years.) Hotel and air are done, but getting show tix now.
Seeing Young Frankenstein (he's kinda obsessed with Megan M.), and already have tix for Friday April 11th. Also wanting to see Spring Awakening (don't be hatin!), Xanadu, Sunday/George and a Cry Baby preview.
I think 5 shows over 3 nights/4 days (Thu night, Fri night, Sat mat and night, plus a Sun matinee before flying home) will be plenty.
Know of any discounts for SA that don't end in March? Xanadu, Sunday and Cry Baby all have good offers, but nothing for SA that I can find. And I don't really wanna risk standby or TKTS; want everything in hand before we get there.
(And yes I searched; the most recent SA discount posts were 8 months old)

Give it a couple of weeks, they take time to release discount info., but I'm sure there will be one.
Thanks-- I was also thinking/hoping they might either have a new offer, or push back the date. Hope so.
I don't like paying retail for anything. (Though we did pay full for Young Frankenstein.)

Have you checked:
broadwaybox.com
theatermania.com
playbill.com?
You probably did, but I am just making sure. I am also a member of Plum Benefits, and they have a couple of offers till the end of May. I will PM you.

Any there any Plums discounts for SA, Lion King & Mermaid for any time. I was looking for them for a trip in April
Thanks Millie!
Unfortunately, I've now only left Sat evening open for SA, so I'll probably just go ahead and purchase full-price. (The discounts are for every night BUT Sat. I guess I've backed myself into a corner)
Only get to do this every year or two, so I really want good orch seats.
So far, Cry Baby preview for Thur eve (orch row K center), Fri eve is YF (orch row E center), and Xanadu for Sat matinee (orch row E, right).
Am planning on Sunday/George for the Sunday matinee, but the discounts on PlaybillClub, TheaterMania, etc. all just vanished in the last day or two. I'll keep checking back for that and SA both.

I am running into the same problems while planning my trip. I'm visiting from April 16th-20th for my birthday and the shows I want to see have the discounts that end in March or early April. (i.e. Spamalot) Legally Blonde is the one that's driving me up the wall. April 13th seriously? Can't you extend 3 days more. Argh! LOL
Sunday... has general rush. $21.50, when the box office opens. Tickets are usually in the rear mezz, though, and you sound like you really want orchestra. But it's an option if everything else falls through.
Thanks Yero!
I will probably either get them ahead of time at full $, wait to see if the applicable discounts return (should have bought the tix yesterday!) or switch Sunday to the discount tix for August:Osage.
We're packing a TON of stuff into a little more than 72 hours, and my obsessive need for organization has to have it all planned out ahead.

D'oh!
FINALLY noticed that there's a Sunday matinee of SA so I just now used the Plum discount which was $70. Oh well... $70's not as great as $50, but better than $115!
Anything on there for Sunday/George?
(and sorry to fill the board with stuff about MY trip, but this all will hopefully help someone else)

If only I'd seen that SA code a little earlier I got tix the other night for May18th and paid FULL PRICE
There's no way I can exchange them and get the discount right?
Don't think so... both Telecharge and Ticketmaster are pretty strict about that.
Yikes-- my Saturday evening slot is still open. Trying to decide between not-go-great seats at August: Osage or not-so-great seats at Sunday/George.
Other boards have talked about seating for other shows at these theaters, but what about for these specific shows? The choices are:
Osage- Left FRONT Mezz row E seats 5-7
or
George-Right MID Mezz row FF seats 105-107 (approx 6th row of the mezz after the aisle)
or
George-Right ORCH Row O, seats 9-11
I gather that the Studio 54 mezzanine is pretty insanely high up. But I'm also not thrilled about being in the 2nd to last row of the orchestra, though row O doesn't seem THAT far back.
Help! (Very indecisive here) Thurs nite, Fri nite, Sat mat, and Sun mat are all lined up-- just need to get my $hit together about Sat nite.
See it from up there, it's not THAT high - you'll be fine :)
I sat in Row O of the orchestra for The ThreePenny Opera at Studio 54 and the view was great.
I'd say go for the mezz seats for Sunday. I might be misunderstanding what you wrote, but FF is only the 6th row of the mezz and the 2nd after the aisle. Studio 54 isn't terribly large and I think mezz seats are amazing for a show like Sunday.
Such a shame that your two choices are these two. Neither of them should be missed.
If you choose SUNDAY, get the rear mezz seats. The ORCH seats don't look so great.
Do you know which section of AUGUST are the front mezz seats? If it's section 4, then they should be great seats. If it's section 1, then it may be partial view..You may not see the patio.
I personally thought that AUGUST was the best thing I've seen on Broadway.
I saw Cabaret from the very last row of Orch and thought that the views were great.
I am also visiting in April ! Got most of my tickets, but can't get decent seats for the rest ! I was advised by many people, to wait and try a couple of days or same day of the show, since there are many chances I'll be able to snatch some really good ones ! Since, the alternative is sitting very far and/or on the sides, I decided to take that advice ! I don't know if that is any help for you, just wanted to tell you what I did ! Have fun !
That's funny-- between this and the old boards I saw about other shows, the opinions about Studio 54 are widely ranging. Some people say the rear orch is ok, others say the mezz is ok.
(Looking back, some of the posts about 110/Shade and Apple Tree said that the 54 mezz is almost shockingly high up.)
Decisions, decisions... I'm leaning toward just getting the Orch row O seats for George. All the rest of our shows are within the first few rows, so I'll have to just suck it up for this one.
And I'll have to wait for August when it tours-- or the inevitable film. (I moved from Chicago a week before it opened there, so maybe August just wasn't meant for me. It'll be one of the few Steppenwolf shows I've missed, but Sunday/George is one of the few Sondheims I've never seen.)
I sat in the front row of the mezzanine at Studio 54, it was fine.
I swear by broadwaybox.com for all of my tickets. Great discounts and seats.
I agree that front row of the mezz is probably fine, but this is 6th row back AFTER the aisle.
(Actually front mezz is probably good in most theaters-- it's when you keep going up past that that it can probably get nose-bleedy.)
Is it row EE? remember you would have no one obstrucing your view! Look at the interactive Studio 54, that gives you a great idea.
