"i cant stand still" from footloose
more for tenor but
"im not saying a word" from bloodblothers
"lees of old virgina" from 1776
for something more funny
"sweet transvestite" from rocky horror

Posted: 8/9/04 at 10:56amSoliloquy shows a lot of range, various tempos and emotions for a baritone. Learn it and then edit it for auditions if you have to.

contemporary is generally anything post 1960... however, more and more contemporary music is benig considered the even new stuff than that...
my suggestions:
"I don't remember christmas" from Starting here, starting now
"everybody says don't" from anyone can whistle
"this is not over yet" from parade
"pain" (a kander/ebb tune- dont remember what its from)
"hitchiking across america"- william finn
"mister choy and madame g" from elegies
"buffalo nickel photoplay inc" from ragtime
"that's all" or "the morning after" by Marcy Heisler/Zina Goldrich
"and they're off" from new brain
"Different" from Honk!
"Yankee Boy" from Rags
"the thigns i learned in high school" -craig carnellia
"better" from a class act
"now" from a little night music
and i'm sure that's more than enough... i don't know your specific range... or what you're looking for so I thought- maybe one of those or maybe one will light a spark in your brain and you'll think of one that will work thats not on there...
eh?
alright.
good luck.

"Tonight At Eight" is another good uptempo for a Baritone/Bari-Tenor.
