Posted: 11/13/09 at 3:57pmThe concert was originally announced with Sierra Boggess in the place of Stephanie J. Block, but she had to cancel because of Love Never Dies commitments. I don't know much about Block except her name and credits, and I know virtually nothing about Gravitte and Mauer. I originally bought tickets to see Boggess, but decided to keep them and see the concert anyway. Was that a good choice?

I'd go if they blindfolded me and gave me extra strength earplugs during Blockhead's tribute to herself.
I love me some Debbie Gravitte.
Are they going to have a cage match between talented Tony-winning jew and waspy snubbed 3 times for a Tony nomination wannabe Jew?

Sierra Boggess replaces Stephanie BLock and then Stephanie Block replaces herself?
Her career is going swimmingly...

Posted: 11/13/09 at 4:15pmAnd in Salt Lake City? I'd rather stand in the dark alley of a straight bar in SLC in full drag with a sign saying "Come and Get It" than hear Block riff her way through the scores of Wicked, The Pirate Queen, and 9 to 5.

It must drive the Wickheads and Blockheads crazy that Debbie was the first to sing "Defying Gravity", even before Idina or Shoshana.
Gravitte's "Water Under The Bridge" is one of my favorite Sondheim performances (though that record producer is a real tool,
). Has she EVER sung this live? I'd think she would since the song is so magnificent, but I've never heard about it if she has.

I don't think she has. I think Encores! should just bite the bullet and do Seesaw with her.

What? BobbyBubby is bashing Stephanie Block? I'm shocked...
But really, 3 consecutive posts? A bit much...
I'm sure it will be a fine show, thinton. Enjoy it!

IF Stephanie J. Block can stretch a 5 second note into 30 seconds, I can surely stretch a random bashing into 3 posts.
And I would have chosen ElphabaJudy2 over WickedPirate2 for a screen name but that's just me I guess.
