Urm....several of the other contestants already do sing 8-show weeks (including the young lady in my avatar who has been already doing so, in the role of Sandy, since October), so I'd say your claim is a little inaccurate.

I can't imagine her not being chosen either. Not if the theatre community has anything say about it. Kathleen not only has the vocal strength to do the role but what sets her apart is her Acting! Her ability to connect while singing is what a true triple treat is made of.
Besides if that wasn't enough, I agree with LionKingKid...She is one of the funniest people you will ever meet!!

Laura hasn't had any vocal health problems, so I'm not sure what you're implying.
And prior to her run in Grease, she was an apprentice at The Children's Theater Company in which she was singing 8-show weeks for a year straight, so whether she is up to it isn't really a question. She has already demonstrated that she has the stamina.

I hope Kathleen wins! I just watched a repeat last night of last Sunday's episode. She was the only one I thought could do the show...on Broadway. My teacher even talked about her during my musical theatre class. She's the only one that acted! Like my teacher said, we won't be watching Grease on TV when it gets to Broadway, all the other girls are cute, and can sing ok, but their performances won't read in a big theatre. The other girls don't have any "fire".
I look up to her too, because we look like we could be sisters! I wish I could sing like her too, though.
I did hear a rumor that people were having vocal problems, but not specifically who. I guess we'll find out on Sunday...

Posted: 1/26/07 at 7:38pmI don't know how anyone can tell from watching the shows so far who is or is not capable of singing eight shows a week. I, personally, will wait to see the coming shows before deciding who's 'best' or who I'd vote for, why would I decide before the final competition has begun? I still think that Ashley has the best chance, based on what we've seen so far.
