Vegas Phantom Christines, Raouls, Phantoms. . .

I know about Sierra going to Little Mermaid, but has anybody heard what Elizabeth Loyacano and the other stars of Vegas Phantom will be doing next - - or plans to extend in Vegas for those of us that haven't seen them in it yet!!??

I have only heard of one other person leaving and that is Rebecca who plays Mad. Giry. She wants to move back to New York.

They are having auditions for some leads, so there must be other cast members leaving.

As for out 2 Phantoms, both have bought houses in Las Vegas...so that should say they plan on staying.

Tim Martin Gleason might be leaving as I know he does not like the weather in Las Vegas.

Since contracts for the main leads are up in May or June I would think they will be making announcements soon. Nothing has been official confirmed at this time. I think Elizabeth is staying, we have two ladies (understudies) that can do the role of Christine here now. They have done the role several times in the show here.

Soryr to threadjack, but I have tickets for March 26th, and based on the performer's schedules I have found, it appears I'll be seeing Anthony Crivello and Elizabeth Loyacano. For anyone who has seen them both, how are they?

I saw them both back in December and was impressed. They play off of each other amazingly well. I also saw Elizabeth with BB, and preferred her characterization with Anthony the most.

Elizabeth and Tony are terrible in Phantom. I hope they move on so people like Ted Keegan (who understudies Phantom in Vegas) can take over.

Anthony Crivello is the best Phantom I've ever seen. He was great. My only complaint was that his accent was a little distracting at times, but he's a great actor and his voice is gorgeous, and he made the role fresh which is pretty impossible to do nowadays, IMO of course.

I saw Phantom Vegas twice, the first was him and Elizabeth on the second night of previews, and the second time was last November with him and Sierra. I thought that Elizabeth was much better than Sierra. Sierra is adorable, but I thought she had a wee bit of a way to go on her acting/singing front.

Oh, and Rebecca Spencer. Glad she's leaving. Her Madame Giry was like, the drag queen version of Norma Desmond. A little too over the top, even for Vegas.

Elena Shaddow may move into Sierra's spot. If not, one of the understudies will more than likely take over for Sierra.

i think this elena shaddow going to vegas thing is a mixture of rumor/wishful thinking. i heard she was leaving the tour because she wanted to be back in nyc. so that wouldn't make sense, now would it?

I intern in a casting office in NYC, not the one that casts for Phantom (Tara Rubin) but we usually get the inside scoop on upcoming replacements.
Granted, YES, a lot of the info does turn out to be rumors so who knows? ( :

If we don't know the new contracts/replacements for the leads yet, does anyone at least know who will be taking over for Sierra for the rest of her contract (since April is her last month)?

I saw Elizabeth and she was amazing when I visited early Feb. but it's kinda too bad for me that I didn't get to see Sierra perform.

Who did the opening as Kristine? I read they did a coin toss.

If you get a chance to see Keegan go on as Phantom..TAKE IT! He's the best Phantom I've seen and I hate the damn show. But he is amazing!
