I can't wait to see it tomorrow night! I'll be onstage
.
I will be in the audience as well. Orchestra Level, row L, I believe.
Yep, it's L. AHH I'm so excited!!
Hmmm... I just checked the seating chart, and the Orchestra section only goes to row F...
Huh. I'm pretty sure our tickets say "L." Eh, they were free, so I'm not complaining :) haha
LOL. True story.
Does Kira almost fall at one point during that video? She was skating along the back (behind the on-stage seats) and looked like she really lost her balance.
LOL. Looks like maybe she does.
Well at that part in the show, she's supposed to be limping and being clumsy because she only has 1 skate on.
I didn't know XANADU won for Best Musical and Best Book.....
Oh it did.. just not the TONY award haha
It won the Outer Critics Circle Award for "Outstanding New Broadway Musical" and Drama Desk Award for "Best Book of a Musical"
chinkie azn jai, I forgot about that part. It's been such a long time since we saw the show on Broadway. I am so excited!
omg lol does any1 even like the show??? it closed in broadway for a reason!!!
It's all orchestra seating and it's a lovely intimate theatre- I think about 550 seats. It should be perfect for that show.
Ah, I didn't know that. In all my years of theatre going in Chicago I have yet to set foot in there. LOL.
I was going to say, it definitely says "orch" on our tickets so I figured it was something like that. Yay for a new show to rush/frequently patronize! haha we'll see if this gets me off the crack that is Jersey Boys rush seats.

I like how they listed Max Von Essen as an "Ensemble Member"
Anyone know where the stage door is?

I dont believe they have an actual stage door. The actors generally just exit the theatre through the lobby, so I would suggest just hanging out there afterward. Updated On: 2/15/14 at 12:52 PM
Wow, she's, uhh, very well built.
Wow, it actually does look like she took a tumble there and they just cut away from it.
So does the rounded part of the stage extend over the orchestra pit?

The "tumble" is purposeful, and the theatre has no orchestra pit.

It closed after running for more than a year, winning awards, and bringing delight to thousands of fans. May the national tour run long, be successful and bring happiness to the patrons and enjoyable work to the crew and cast of this fantastic musical. Rock on Xanadu!
I loved this show and am going to see it next Thursday, but I have to say that Kira looks like a drag queen in this. She's more muscular than Sonny.
