Not being a fan of the show, I dunno the character names, but here it goes.
Story A: The husband wants to send the son to camp, so he finds "Camp Refugee," which, turns out to be a refugee camp. He mispronounced it and didn't realize. So he's in Africa trying to get the son home and sets up an actual summer camp for refugees.
Story B: The alien that lives with them is bored, so he and the wife decide to pose as other people at various parties. They pose as an intellectual couple, both of whom are drunk, hence VW.
