I'm so excited folks. I would have liked to have gone during our March (14-17) Spring Break, but it's veddy cold in NYC during that time. I love NYC in the summertime. Taking JetBlue, I'll arrive before 11:00 a.m. on that Sat. I'll have a chance to see 2 shows on Sat., 2 on Sunday and 1 on that Monday. I plan on seeing "Chicago" (of course) and "The Audience". Any suggestions for 3 other shows? I know it's early, but I like to order tickets to shows way ahead of time. from RC in Austin, Texas
Skylight seems interesting. Harold and Maude is playing at the York. The King and I will probably be great.

Fun Home.
I'm thinking of also seeing "An American In Paris". It has two former Chicago cast members: Michael Cusumano and Nathan Madden.
I think "On the Twentieth Century" might still be playing then. That could be a fun, light night at the theater.
Not officially announced or has a theater been set yet but we should be hearing soon...The Visit ~ Kander & Ebb's musical starring Chita Rivera in her final appearance on Broadway will be a must see as it will be a limited engagement opening late this season.
Also, a must is Fun Home, The King & I or the new comedy Hand to God.
How "limited" are we talking? I'd love to see Chita, but I am only in the city every mid to late September.
Without a doubt, Fun Home
The Tony Awards (at Radio City Music Hall or in Times Square)?

You plan your vacations like I do! I maximize how many shows I can get in and still get in visits with family and friends who still in the NY/NJ area. Having lived in Manhattan and NJ up until 8 years ago, theater is the thing I miss the most (other than family/friends), though, where I live now I do have the Nederlander managed- Durham Performance Arts Center, the #1 most successful theater of its size in the country. We get the best tours and concerts.
I just realized that I booked my trip during the Tony Awards weekend. That means that I'll only be able to see one show on Sunday, in order to watch the telecast. Last year, I saw the Tonys at the Stonewall Inn. It was extremely crowded.

I am visiting at that time also. Although I arrive on Tuesday and leave after my matinee on Sunday. Keep in mind when booking, many shows, including The Audience and Funhome do not have a Sunday performance on Tony Sunday.
I'm sure Chicago will have a perf on Tonys Sunday. So far: Chicago, The Audience, An American In Paris and one more. Maybe an off-Broadway show?
Harold and Maude at the York! It's based on a tremendous play/movie and has a book and lyrics by Tom Jones of the Fantasticks and 110 in the Shade.

Can't you DVR the Tony's? That can be viewed again; a live theatrical experience will only happen once :)
