Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

Well, well, well.

Ha.

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

Hey, they need someone desperate enough to help them out financially and keep that show going at real ticket prices.

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

Too bad it's locked. I would have posted to point out that by using the lotto instead of Voices for Rent's ticketing service, they'd save enough money to buy all those cool prizes and merchandise at the show.

That whole site is so ridiculous; I can't wait for it to implode.

It's even more "fun" than that Altar Boyz quiz site.

Apparently they don't realize that their posters' probable average age is within the lotto-needing range.

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

They probably think that the kids on their website will just run to their parents to buy full price tickets. Because what's more in line with Rent's themes than mooching luxuries off your parents? re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

Haha, they sound so desperate.

That website cracks me up. Do they really think that'll make people want to go see it? Altar Boyz has some of the oddest marketing techniques.

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

In all the times I've seen ReNT (I've lost count, but it's not a crazy high number) I only paid full price once. Every other time was lotto or standing room.

Well, if that doesn't drive people to try the lotto, I don't know what will.

Wow. Kudos to "Landlord Benny" (haha) to admitting the site's purpose openly. I also have only once in four times seeing the show, have paid full price for tickets.

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

Why would anyone pay full price for RENT tickets? It's not quite worth 110 dollars anymore.
I mean, Denzel Washington? Gun to my head..of course.

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

Because Anna- Revue generated from that link comes back to Voices for Rent, which means cooler merchandise and better prizes!!! Duh!

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

I'm not gonna lie, I've been a devoted fan of Rent for several years but this makes me hope the show closes soon. It's morphed into some creepy, hypocritical, exploitation of Jonathan's message and I think its time has come...

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

Oh yeah. Spend $100 on tickets to Rent, in a theatre covered in graffiti. Even the subways don't look that trashy anymore. I thought Benny didn't want a neighborhood where people piss on your stoop. Voices for Rent is anti-Rent.

I've seen it upwards of 10 times and never paid full price. Then again, I've seen only paid full price for 2 tickets ever.

re: Voices For Rent is anti-lotto

One of the best things about the whole Rent phenomenon was the kids that camped to rush. It's the history of the show. Not being allowed to talk about that is just silly. The shark as long since been jumped.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
