Is this it?
I thought this production was supposed to be a reinterpretation of the material...the poster is boring. I hope its just temporary.

the only word that can clearly be seen is Side
Which is actually the 1961 film-version's artwork.
Wow...how original and exciting (not).
Hopefully, this is just something temporary.
Shouldn't that be Historia Lado Oeste or something?
Wow...why use the film's artwork? That's just dull.
How about the old Mad magazine parody of years ago called "East Side Story"?

They could rename it, "Lost In Translation."
Well, the actual spanish title for WEST SIDE STORY was AMOR SIN BARRERAS ("Love with No Barriers").
I'm partial to
PATTI LUPONE
SIDE
STORY,
CurtainPullDowner
I hear Patti's Krupkee will be fierce!
I love the title AMOR SIN BARRERAS.

East Side Story is a movie that shows on LOGO now. Never seen it, but it airs a lot.
First Godspell used the original artwork, and now WSS does the same.
Is there a marketing strike on Broadway?
Mmmmm! Just as exciting as the London 50th Anniversary production!
I can't WAIT to get tickets for
EST
SID
TORY!
Actually, the show was going to be called East Side Story and they were considering having one of the gangs be Jewish. But, then they changed it to West Side Story.
Just something I learned in my musical theatre history class last summer.
Maybe if they play the Nederlander, they could have cut-outs of Tony and Maria on the fire escapes.
I hope that artwork is temporary and they go in a fresh direction to advertise the show instead of recycling Saul Bass' logo from the 1961 movie.
Maybe the producers are just going for "brand" recognition. That logo is legendary.
I've actually never been thrilled with any West Side Story artwork so this is no shock.
Did the 1980 revival at the Minskoff use the same artwork?
This was the PLAYBILL artwork so I'm thinking no.
I would much prefer the classic red artwork than this though....
