Reactions?
Maybe we could tell you once we've actually seen the show.

It isn't very good, unfortunately.
Karen Olivio is totally convincing as Maria, but Arthur Laurents has seen it fit to cast himself as Tony, Bernardo, and Anita: needless to say, he stretches himself a bit thinly, and is completely unable to bring anything to the role of an already white-bread, uninteresting romantic lead.
The direction sucks, the choreography blows, and the technical work is the ugliest since Debbie Allen's CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF.
At least the score is pretty good: however, I have to draw the line at 'America', which is a clear slander and attack against a still-beautiful Puerto Rico. I plan on protesting outside the theater next week: anyone who wants to join is more than welcome.

I would, but I don't want to look like I'm protesting the closing of LB. I couldn't care less about that.

Do they get naked in THIS version?
That's all I wanna know.
And does Action finally come out to Riff?

No, but Baby John bitch-slaps Chino in lieu of Maria's famous "How many bullets are in this gun?" speech. I'm pretty excited.
I also hear Aaron Tveit is fantastic as Tony. I'm so glad I'm a member of this board so I can get reliable insider information before it's announced
