How is Junior's (on 45th, I think)? I've gone by it a few times, but it has always been crowded. Has anyone eaten there?
Junior's is fine. Touristy, and the food is fine. Diner-y. Not too expensive though. It's nice if you're looking to have a relatively cheap, quick (depending on the crowd), and good for the price meal. And large portions.
hell's kitchen IS great--might be a little more $$ than you want to spend and you MUST make a reservation...
eatery is also good and ALOT of fun, esp for the 'mos...
Mangia e Bevi at 53rd and 9th. I can't recommend it enough. Delicious Italian cuisine, and a really fun atmosphere. Their spinach tortellini is out of this world.

I also vote for John's Pizzeria... affordable and delicious... HOWEVER, definitely get there 2 hours prior to the curtain of whatever show you're seeing, earlier if possible... if you have time to spare after you eat, go next door and browse the Theatre Circle book/gift shop.
If you love pizza I would go with John's. If you like sushi, do the dinner special at Raku from 5-6 pm. You can get two rolls, miso, salad (They make the best seaweed salad) and a glass of wine for $12.50 a person. The best sushi in town and affordable.
I don't like the Westside Cottage. It is sad that Tea Den closed (same owner but Tea Den was better food and nicer staff)
For chinese near A Chorus Line go to Ollie's. Better food, a bit more expensive then WSC, BUT twice as good.

Love Becco and Joe Allen but a little pricey even though the food is good.
I haven't eaten dinner at Junior's, but if you want a treat after the show they have a take-out counter for desserts to the left of the main entrance. Best cheesecake EVER. And it's right down the block from ACL, so how can you not?
I agree with all the posters who said to go to 9th Ave for dinner. Lots of good restaurants, little to no tourists. I love Arriba Arriba (51st & 9th) for Mexican.

oh, dear lord: is planet hollywood good ANYWHERE??? :P
youre coming to the restaurant capital of the world -- strike out and try something you cant get in two dozen other places!!!
cafe edison....really good food on 47th next to brooks akinston and scroos the street from marriot marquis{46th entrance}
I agree with whatever2. You should go somewhere that's exclusive to NYC. (Read: avoid the chain restaurants.)
Arriba arriba is a good choice too--very reasonable and lots of performers eat there--there's also a good spanish place near there too--cant think of the name right now--it's on the west side of 9th on the corner--i want to say nuevo latino but not sure...
and I want to know why you changed your pic, SNL!
Milo is my man du jour. Which previous avatar are you referring to? I've had several and lost track.
And to keep on topic: If you don't mind walking a few blocks, Burger Joint hidden inside the Parker Meridien Hotel (57th between 6th and 7th) lobby has the best burgers in the city. $11 for a burger, fries, and drink. Great food, great price. And check out the celebrity-autographed walls!
I wasn't thrilled with Pigalle, try Joe Allen
I was going to say that Rath probably knows some good taco stands, but I decided against it.
If your in the mood for Chinese go to Olli's which is on 44th and Broadway. It's cheap and quick. You can get a meal there for under six bucks.
well, you could always eat INSIDE the Theater.
just take a few chips in your backpack and chew-on, it's legal now!
so much fun!
go to Azucar.. amazing food and the best mojitos ever!!!
definetly john's, or blue fin, although that miught be a little expensive
OK. For Pizza I would go to Don Giovanni's on 44th between 8th and 9th. Great atmosphere. It is the site of the original Improv club and there is a cool Plaque commmemorating it.
Arguably better pizza than Johns and you stand a much better chance of getting a table at 645 than the other places. I was there last night.
I second Ollies Noodle shop!!! it's totally amazing! you HAVE to get their original Pan Fried Dumplings they are to die for!!!! =D I can't remember what street it's on but it is like a block away from the W Hotel
